How I Can Help the Earth is a two-part writing and drawing activity that gets students thinking about real ways they can make a difference, without needing a cape or superpowers. Whether it’s turning off the lights, picking up litter, or finally remembering to use that reusable water bottle, kids will put their Earth-saving ideas into words and pictures. First, students write about one way they can help protect the planet. Then, they illustrate their promise in action, because sometimes seeing themselves as eco-heroes makes it all the more real. It’s easy to use, fun to complete, and makes a thoughtful bulletin board full of good intentions and great art (some drawings may include capes anyway, we’re here for it). Ways to Use It: Earth Day writing or art center Morning work or sub plans Part of a larger Earth Day lesson or celebration Bulletin board display Why You’ll Love It: Promotes environmental awareness in a relatable way Encourages reflection and creativity Print-and-go with no prep required Great for various elementary grade levels Inspires real-life action in a fun format Let’s turn those small ideas into big changes, one paper at a time! 🌍 Pdf file includes pages.

High School 20 St. Patrick's Day Writing Prompts & Note-Taking Sheets
ELA, Reading, Writing, Holiday & Seasonal, Holidays, St. Patrick's Day, Research, Resources for Teachers, High School, Homeschool Resources, Worksheets & Printables, Writing Prompts, Teacher Tools, Assessments, Quizzes and Tests, Outlines, Lesson Plans
Finding a high-quality holiday resource that does not feel like "busy work" can be such a struggle once your student/homeschooler reaches the high school years. As a homeschool mom to a 9th grader and a resource creator, I know exactly how hard it is to find that sweet spot between seasonal fun and the academic rigor our teens actually need. I originally designed this High School 20 St. Patrick's Day Writing Prompts and 20 Note-Taking Sheets bundle for my own daughter based on questions she had about St. Patrick's Day. I wanted to create something that would truly encourage her to sharpen her research skills while practicing the high-level critical reflection I expect for her secondary education. It has been a lifesaver in our home as a time-saving, "no-prep" solution that brings real intellectual depth to our day without adding another stressful item to my already long to-do list. INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE: A detailed text exploring real history and myths to provide a strong foundation for research. Critical thinking questions that prioritize historical analysis over simple reading comprehension. Specially designed pages to help students/homeschoolers organize thoughts and brainstorm before they begin writing. Detailed paragraph-style responses to facilitate deep discussions and make grading your student's/homeschooler's work quick and easy. TOPICS COVERED: Explore the actual life of St. Patrick and the real symbolism behind the legendary shamrock. Analyze scientific evidence versus the allegorical reasons why this myth persists in modern history. Evaluate Ireland’s massive cultural impact and the diversity within Irish heritage and traditions. Dig into the commercialization of holidays and how traditions evolve and change over time. By combining research with structured writing, we are giving our teens the tools to grow as deep thinkers and skilled writers without any added fluff. Having everything in one place has created such a seamless workflow in our own daily routine, and I feel confident handing this to my daughter knowing it respects her maturity. My hope is that this helps your family transform seasonal studies into a truly meaningful exploration of Irish history, culture and origin of St. Patrick's Day. It has been the perfect way for us to celebrate the season while checking off those important high school educational boxes. High School 2025 December ELA Bell Ringers
ELA, Writing, Holidays, Holiday & Seasonal, Christmas, Resources for Teachers, Research, Winter, Seasons, High School, Homeschool Resources, Teacher Tools, Worksheets & Printables, Writing Prompts, Assessments, Quizzes and Tests, Lesson Plans
You know that feeling when December hits and suddenly your teenager is more interested in hot chocolate than sentence structure? Yeah, me too. Last year, I spent way too many mornings fighting with my eigth-grader about grammar while she stared longingly at the twinkling lights on our Christmas tree. That is when it hit me – why was I making this harder than it needed to be? Instead of battling the season, I decided to embrace it. These 2025 December ELA Bell Ringers were born from pure desperation and a strong cup of coffee on a particularly challenging December morning. I needed something that would actually hold my daughter's attention while still covering the ELA skills she needed to practice. Turns out, when you wrap grammar fixes in winter themes and poetry analysis in holiday spirit, teenagers suddenly find English a lot more interesting. INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE: NO-PREP time-saving resource that is ready to print and go. 23 December activities your students/homeschoolers will actually enjoy. Grammar, creative writing, vocabulary, poetry, and literary analysis all in one. Winter and holiday themes that will keep your students/homeschoolers engaged. TOPICS COVERED: Grammar that doesn't feel like punishment. Creative writing that sparks imagination. Vocabulary that goes beyond memorization. Poetry without the intimidation factor. After three years of using and tweaking these activities in my own homeschool, I can honestly say they have become one of my December must-haves. My daughter actually asks for the creative writing prompts now (miracle of miracles). The grammar components have become our go-to review when I notice her slipping back into old habits, and the vocabulary work has strengthened her writing in ways I didn't expect. Whether you are looking for that perfect December learning balance, need emergency lesson plans when life gets crazy, or want activities that actually make your teenager think (and maybe even smile), these 2025 December ELA Bell Ringers have become the swiss army knife of my homeschool supplies. Sometimes the best resources are the ones that solve problems you didn't even know you had. If you and your students/homeschoolers enjoyed this resource, please leave a review. ELA, Language Development, Writing, Creative Writing, Holiday & Seasonal, Holidays, Seasons, Spring, Summer, Labor Day, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets, Writing Prompts, Teacher Tools, Assessments, Lesson Plans, Classroom Decor, Bulletin Boards, Activities, Centers
Hard hats on and imaginations up! This If I Were a Construction Worker writing prompt is perfect for your K–2 crew who love to build, dig, and dream big. With a writing section to spark those storytelling gears and a drawing portion to bring their ideas to life, this activity is a fun and engaging way to celebrate community helpers, while sneaking in literacy practice (shhh… don’t tell the kids). Students will write about the kinds of things they would build (treehouses, skyscrapers, or chocolate factories?), what tools they would use, and how they’d help their community. Then they’ll draw their construction masterpiece, expect cranes, bulldozers, and maybe even a glitter-covered hammer. Ways to Use: Perfect for community helper units, Career Day, or themed writing centers. Ideal for early finishers, morning work, or substitute plans. Can be used as part of an “All About Jobs” bulletin board display. Advantages: Encourages creative writing with a real-world connection. Supports fine motor skills with the drawing component. Great for vocabulary development, hello, jackhammer! No prep, print and pass it out faster than you can say “blueprints.”
