Homophones Worksheets: Be Bee

Homophones Worksheets: Be Bee
ELA, Grammar, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Grade 3, 4, 5, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

Students can practice using the correct spelling of homophone words with this worksheet packet. This packet focuses on the homophones: be and bee. What are homophones? Homophones are a pair of words that sound the same but are spelled differently. Words that are homophones can often be tricky for students to spell correctly since the spelling varies depending on the meaning of the word. What is Included: There is a poster page (available in color and in black in white) that shows the homophone, its part of speech, a sentence showing how it is used in a sentence, and a picture that illustrates the sentence. One worksheet where students write in the correct homophone to complete each sentence. One worksheet where students write in the correct homophone to complete the story. One worksheet where students choose the correct word to complete each sentence and then they color in the color by code picture according to the answers of each sentence. Answer keys for the 3 worksheets. When to Use: Literacy Activity - These worksheets make great practice for students learning these homophones. Morning Work - These worksheets make great morning work for students who arrive to class early. Homework - These worksheets are perfect to send home for students to practice homophones with their parents. Sub Plans - The teacher can easily leave these worksheets for subs to assign to students. These worksheets provide ample practice for students learning these homophones. With repeated practice distinguishing between words with the same sound and different spellings, students will master which form of the word to use in each sentence and become confident in using the correct word when writing their own sentences and stories. These homophone worksheets are a no prep option for teachers to give to students. Teachers simply just need to print out the desired worksheet and give it to students to complete.

CVC Words Teaching Pack: Activities + 16 Decodable Stories | SOR
Common Core, Phonics, Language Development, ELA, Kindergarten, Grade 1, Literacy Readers, Teacher Tools, Lesson Plans, Worksheets & Printables

CVC Words Teaching Pack: Activities + 16 Decodable Stories | Science of Reading This CVC Words teaching pack forms part of a structured literacy program for introducing young learners to reading and spelling. It aligns with the Science of Reading and includes a detailed teaching manual, 138 supporting activities, and 16, 100% decodable stories—all designed to help students build strong foundational reading skills. What is Included The teaching manual offers clear, step-by-step guidance on helping children master blending (reading) and segmenting (spelling) CVC words. The program's unique structure ensures that even students with processing difficulties can succeed by introducing concepts systematically and building on previous learning. The 138 supporting activities focus on developing phonemic awareness - that is, the ability to hear and order individual sounds in words. These exercises strengthen both reading and spelling skills through simple, engaging activities and games. The 16 decodable stories feature Farmer Tom, his wife and children Sam and Pam, and their farm animals in adventures that young readers can actually decode independently. Each story includes word practice lists at the beginning, connecting new vocabulary to familiar rhyming patterns. The stories are in one convenient 32-page book (for eco-printing) with reader-friendly formatting, with a large, clear font and generous spacing. Why This Approach Works Unlike many phonics programs, these stories maintain strict decodability while telling genuinely engaging narratives, no phonics drills! Students read only CVC words they can sound out, plus four essential sight words (a, the, is, of). The books have no curveballs to knock the confidence of young readers. They are always introduced to all the words they need to read each story, before they read it. They then meet familiar words in the subsequent stories. This planned repetition builds fluency and confidence as readers recognise words they've successfully decoded before. The beautiful watercolour illustrations make children want to read them again and again, whilst not encouraging picture-guessing—an important element in Science of Reading instruction. Best For: This program suits students in kindergarten through early first grade (ages 4-6) who have basic CVC blending ability and need systematic practice. It works well for small group instruction, one-on-one tutoring, or homeschool settings and wherever structured, research-based materials are needed. Who can use it? This resource can be used by teachers, though it is especially written with parents in mind. Having the stories in one book means more affordable printing, and the ease of use with non-technical vocabulary makes it attractive to even the least confident parent. The manual helps with assessment and troubleshooting, and the programme suits even children who need longer to learn to blend and segment CVC words, ensuring that they do not begin to rely on word-recognition before they can truly sound out - a common trap of many programmes.

Crash Course Government Episode Worksheet | 8 - Congressional Leadership
Social Studies, Government, Grade 7, 8, 9, 10, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

Without a doubt, history is a topic that can be easily overlooked by our students. Sometimes, it can be difficult for them to make connections with the past in a way that makes sense to them. The same applies to government and politics. It can be difficult for our students to understand the rules and roles of being an American citizen. Being able to provide students with meaningful resources is the best way to get over this learning curve. Within my store, you will find a plethora of government and politics resources to utilize with your students. What You Get: This is the Congressional Leadership Worksheet for the Crash Course Government Episodes. This is a 2-page worksheet that has 15 questions for students to answer. The link to the Crash Course video can be found at the top of the worksheet. If students are completing this worksheet digitally, they will be able to quickly click on the link for themselves and be redirected to YouTube. An answer key is included in a separate Word document. If you print off the answer key, students can check their answers by themselves. The Congressional Leadership Video is 8 minutes long. How To Implement This Resource: You should print off enough copies of the worksheet for each student to have, so they can answer some of the questions as they listen to the video. You can listen to this video as a whole group and then allow students to listen to it again by themselves or in small groups, if your classroom has enough devices to do so. Being able to watch these engaging Crash Course videos more than once will help students make connections and close gaps for their understanding of government and politics. I hope you enjoy!

OW (snow): Phonics Workbook Reading Made Simple
Phonics, Language Development, ELA, Spelling, Kindergarten, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

Reading Made Simple — Free OW (snow) Phonics Workbook These little workbooks have been a quiet favourite with families using Reading Made Simple for some time now. Each one focuses on a single sound and prints on just one sheet of A4 paper — double-sided, folded in half to make a neat A5 booklet that children can hold and work through at their own pace. They are entirely optional. The phonics programme works perfectly well without them, but many parents and teachers find them a useful companion — either as structured practice or simply as a source of ideas to dip into when needed. Tested by real children: One 5-year-old user is quoted as having said, 'The worksheet is the best bit of my lessons!' Other parents have noted that their child likes the worksheet because 'they think it is easy'. When learning is broken down into small, achievable steps, with no curve balls to throw them off track, every child can say, 'I can read!' When I hear these reviews, I know that I have succeeded in my aim to write a phonics curriculum that can help children of all abilities learn to read and spell. These little workbooks are just one small part of what there is to offer. Please do check out the website for more information. Each workbook offers a gentle mix of activities built around the target sound. Children will read short passages that practise the new sound alongside words from sounds already taught, track and identify the sound within words to support both reading and spelling, practise spelling and sentence writing, and work through simple editing exercises where they spot and correct mistakes. These small editing tasks are particularly worthwhile — they encourage children to look carefully at words rather than guessing from context. The workbooks are particularly well-suited to younger children just beginning their phonics journey, and to older children with special educational needs who are still building their foundational reading and spelling skills. That said, they will not suit every child. Some will find them too long, others too straightforward. Use your own judgement — pick the activities that fit, leave the rest, or set them aside entirely. There is no obligation and no right or wrong way to use them. To print: print double-sided, flipping on the short edge. Fold in half to create your A5 booklet. The answer page at the back is optional. One sheet of paper. One sound. Everything a child needs to practise, consolidate and grow in confidence.
