Continents and Oceans word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

I made this continents and oceans puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our geography unit. The kids could name a few continents but kept mixing up Africa and Antarctica or forgetting the oceans entirely. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Australia, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern, Arctic, equator, hemisphere, and map. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the names and locations stick.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue over whether Australia is a country or a continent. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple world map outlines but nothing too busy.

Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers list all seven continents on the back and circle the one we live on. The kids actually ask for these now.
