What's inside this resource
Easy Crosswords for Kids is a five-puzzle vocabulary series for kindergarten through grade 2. Every page holds one small crossword about a familiar place or feeling: At the Beach, In the Garden, My Home, Playground and Toys, and Feelings. Clues are one or two short sentences, such as "Knock, knock! Open it to come in," and a few of the easiest words carry a picture hint.
Page 1 starts with a worked example that shows HAT written one letter per box, so children see how an answer fills the grid. Each puzzle ends with a Your turn sentence frame ("Today I feel ___.") that a child completes with a word from that puzzle. A word bank sits below a dashed fold line on every page; fold it under for children who are ready to solve without it.
