About This Product

This reading work schedules task box teaches students to read a personal schedule, a team schedule, and a posted change sheet in three levels, including hours, breaks, pay, and planning.

Why I made this: At job sites, schedules change every week, and my students are the ones who show up on the wrong day or at 3:00 AM instead of 3:00 PM. Reading a schedule means finding your name, the day, the time, the break rule, and the newest change. This box builds that one level at a time.

What's included (25 pages):

• 3 practice schedules: a personal schedule, a team schedule, and a schedule with changes

• Level A: 12 cards about the personal schedule

• Level B: 24 cards about the team schedule

• Level C: 24 cards about hours, breaks, pay, changes, and planning

• An answer mat, a "How to read a work schedule" page, and a "My schedule" page

• 3 practice pages, one for each level

• Answer key for every card

• Data sheet and a 10 session accuracy graph

• A try it for real page with an adult check

• Ideas for practice at school, home, and job sites, and blank cards

How I use it: We go over the 4 steps for reading a schedule, then students work on their level with the 3 practice schedules. When a student has a real job site, we fill out "My schedule" every week.

Who it is for: transition, special education, life skills, and vocational teachers, job coaches, and paras working with students in grades 9 to 12 and 18 to 21 programs.

How it is different from my other schedule resources: those focus on counting work hours. This box focuses on reading a personal schedule, a team schedule, and a posted change sheet, with a break rule and planning.

What you download: one printable PDF, 25 pages, US Letter.
