Verb Ir and Near Future Quiz Bank | 30 Questions | Canvas, Forms

About This Product
One bank, ready for the platforms in the table below. One purchase gives you this Verb Ir and the Near Future Quiz Bank in every format in the table, so you stop rebuilding the same quiz for each platform.
Grades 6-12.
Media: 11 of the 30 questions carry a photo. Context photos travel with their questions in the QTI, Moodle, and printable versions. Photos that picture an answer appear only as feedback after a student answers (and in the printed answer key). The game files and the Google Forms version are text only.
Some platforms limit import or assignment features by account plan, so check yours before purchase.

ABOUT THIS BANK
This Verb Ir and the Near Future bank gives you 30 ready to grade questions on the verb students meet in their first month and use all year: ir. The opening set works the whole paradigm in real sentences (voy, vas, va, vamos, vais, van). The middle set sends students to places with ir a, including the two contractions al and a la and the no-article case of Chile. The near future set builds ir a plus an infinitive across all six persons, and the bank closes with a ten-item contrast block where each sentence holds a place, an activity, or both, and the student must decide whether ir stands alone or takes a plus an infinitive. It works as a unit quiz, a review game, or a sub day assessment.
Every question carries a one sentence explanation, printed in the answer key and carried into the formats that show feedback, so a miss teaches something on the spot. The question content was panel audited before release for factual accuracy, answer key integrity, and answer pattern quality.
Skills practiced: the full ir paradigm in context, one form per item (questions 1 to 8: voy, vas, va, vamos, vais, van); ir a plus a place, with al and a la in natural frames and the no-article case of Chile in a sentence-choice item (9 to 14); ir a plus an infinitive for the near future, one item per person (15 to 20); and a closing contrast block where a place and an activity compete in the same sentence and only the meaning decides whether ir stands alone or takes a plus an infinitive (21 to 30).
THE SPANISH IN THIS BANK
The bank follows universal Spanish. Questions 5, 19, and 29 use vais with vosotros exactly where the paradigm calls for it, and question 4 uses vais as a distractor with a nosotros subject; every other item works in any variety. Irse is kept out of the bank entirely: no stem or option uses me voy, se va, or vámonos. Level supports are built into the stems as first-use glosses: escuela (school) in question 1, gimnasio (gym) in 2, mercado (market) in 3, playa (beach) in 4, oficina (office) and temprano (early) in 7, biblioteca (library) in 8, banco (bank) in 9, supermercado (supermarket) in 11, autobús (bus) in 12, iglesia (church) in 14, fin de semana (weekend) in 17, película (movie) and ¿verdad? (right?) in 19, tarde (afternoon) in 21, adónde (where to) in 23, tienda (store) in 24, nadar (to swim) and mar (sea) in 27, luego (then) in 29, and regalo (gift) in 30.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to type the questions in? No. Every format in this download is ready to import or print as it stands. The Google Forms version gives you the live copy link inside the download and prints every question with its key, points, and feedback so you can check your copy line by line.
How do I use this in Google Classroom if Classroom takes no QTI? Use the Google Forms version: open the copy link printed on page 1 of the Forms file in this download, choose Make a copy, then attach your copy to a Classroom assignment. The Teacher Guide, Section 5, walks through copying, assigning, closing the form on schedule, and reading results.
What if my platform is not in the table? Start with the QTI file: it is the standard question format that most learning management systems import. One exception worth knowing: Moodle does not take QTI, which is why this download carries a separate Moodle XML file. And the printable PDF works everywhere paper does.
Why do some questions show their photo only in the answer key? A photo that pictures the answer would give the question away, so those photos ride as feedback: students see them right after they answer, with the explanation, in the versions that support feedback media.
Can I split the bank into shorter quizzes? Yes. The QTI and Moodle files import as one bank, and every platform here lets you build shorter quizzes from selected questions after import.
ACTFL connection: This resource is aligned with the ACTFL World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages and the Novice High Can-Do statements for interpretive communication. Students interpret short sentences and questions and show they can choose the correct forms of ir, use ir a with places and their contractions, form the near future with ir a plus an infinitive, and tell going somewhere apart from going to do something.
