The other three animals will be different from the horse and will be easy to distinguish. The learner's task will be to identify and select the horse that is an exact match to the one presented. As the learner gets better at identifying identical objects, you can make the activity more challenging. In a more advanced stage of the activity, the learner will be presented with an array of four horses, but only one of them will be an exact match to the one presented. The other horses will have subtle differences, such as different colors, patterns, or sizes, making it harder for the learner to find the exact match. This activity is beneficial for developing the learner's visual discrimination skills, attention to detail, and cognitive flexibility. It can also help improve their memory, concentration, and problem-solving abilities. These no-prep, self checking cut and paste math puzzles are great for helping students to focus on addition as they do number bonds for number 11. Preparation: Just print and go! There are 2 pages for each number – The main worksheet and a page with puzzle pieces that need to be cut out and pasted on the worksheet. Each student will need a copy of both pages. There is also a “Back of Puzzle Pieces” page. This needs to be printed on the reverse side of all puzzle pieces pages. There are 2 printing options – colour or black and white You can also mix and match the colour and black and white pages. For example, you could print only the puzzle pieces in colour and the worksheet in black and white if you wish. 1. Introduction Teaching mathematics to children is vital because it helps them in their daily lives. And as teachers and as guides in education we must try to make children like mathematics. 2.Objective Teaching mathematics in a playful way offers great benefits such as the following: - Mathematical educational games help cognitive development: Because they stimulate critical thinking, logical reasoning and problem solving. Additionally, children will be able to learn linguistic skills, mathematical and scientific concepts more effectively through these games. - Mathematical educational games will help the development of motor skills: Many of these mathematical games involve the exercise of physical activities, these activities will help the development of gross and fine motor skills, vital for school. Because because students are going to manipulate pieces, participate in board games, build structures, they are going to improve their hand-eye coordination. -Mathematical educational games will stimulate emotional and social learning, because they will make your students and/or children work together, resolve conflicts and also learn to wait their turn. All this variety of interactions will help them develop and foster their emotional and social skills, such as cooperation, communication and empathy. -Mathematical educational games will help promote creativity, because it allows children to freely express their creativity, exploring solutions to problems, inventing stories, and creating new things. 3.Order, scheme and stages - Introduce your mathematics class with a relaxing song or a favorable dynamic, regarding the numbers from 1 to 10.
