Are you looking for fun activities for practicing number recognition? These pixel art worksheets are perfect for getting your students to practice number identification for the numbers 0-7! Different options for how to use this resource: Cut and paste You can choose to print the colour square pages on white paper. -This is the simplest option, but it will take a lot of colour ink. Or you can choose to print the black line squares pages on colour paper. -This will use a lot less ink, but it will take a little more work to prepare. -You may struggle to find colour paper in all the colours I have used. If you have a problem finding the right colours, you can generally substitute a different colour if you need to. Simply look at the answer key to see what the pictures are and choose an appropriate substitute colour. Colour by number You will only need to print the worksheets and allow the students to colour the squares themselves. Preparation: Worksheets 3 printing options: 1. Full colour - best if you will be able to use all the same colours that I have used. 2. Partial colour – I have left the colours blank. You will need to tell your students what colours to use for each number before they can start the activity . This is best if you need to make some substitutions because you are printing on colour paper and cannot find all the correct colours. 3. Black and white - like with the partial colour version, you will need to tell your students what colours to use for each number before they can start the activity . This activity has been tried out in classrooms and it helps young students learn about 2D and 3D shapes by playing with them. Why I will like this geometry activity: My students will like it: This game has been played many times in classrooms and it is always a success. My students will be just as excited to play with the Monster the time as they were the first time. My students will learn about shapes: It includes 28 different shapes so my students can see many examples of shapes. It has two monsters: One monster is for shapes and one is for solid shapes so my students can see the difference between them. It helps with hand-eye coordination: When my students put the shapes in the monsters mouths they are also practicing their hand-eye coordination.
