The different pages in this flip book allow students to practice recognizing the letter, writing the letter, and identifying words that begin with the letter. What is Included: This flip book has a cover page for students to simply color. The seek and find page practices letter recognition by having students identify capital and lowercase forms of the letter. The find and color page practices letter recognition of the target letter from other letters of the alphabet. Students can use dot markers to mark the letters, they can color in the letter or use stickers to cover the letters. The cut and paste page allows students to work with scissor skills to cut out examples of the letter from either printed materials, like magazines or newspapers, or students can use the letters provided at the bottom of the page. The trace and write page allows students to practice tracing and writing the capital and lowercase forms of the letter. The beginnings sound page has students coloring the pictures that begin with the letter. The trace and draw page has students tracing a word that begins with the letter, then drawing a picture to represent that word. Charles Dickens is perhaps the most significant novelist of the Victorian Era. This resource provides your students with the opportunity to independently research and write about the life of the renowned author of Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities, Oliver Twist, and many other classic novels, with this engaging research planner and essay assignment. This carefully scaffolded and easy-to-assign-AND-assess resource has been designed to guide student learning from Charles Dickens fact-collection to the careful development of a five-paragraph research essay. Teaching this resource could not be easier! Start by handing out the background research and note-taking worksheet (you could also ONLY hand this out if you want a shorter lesson!). 3rd Grade Color by Code Math Worksheet - Addition and Subtraction

Reviewing 3rd grade math standards is a must to help your students succeed. There are so many new concepts they have to learn throughout the year, but we really don't want them to forget what they've already learned. A fun way to get students practicing key concepts is to have math color pages. This math color by code has students answer several addition and subtraction problems. There are problems with both 3 and 4 digits. There are some where students will have to know how to subtract across 0s. Once they have their answer, they then color in the sections based on what their answer is. You may need to do a problem on the page with them, to make sure students understand the code. This code has students look for numbers between other numbers. For example, they will need to color based on an answer being between 100-199. Make sure they understand exactly what that means and how many numbers that includes. When I do this with my students they always have to show their answer, and not just the color. I have students complete the problems in pencil and color around. Or, they can trace with a sharpie and color over that. If they only have the color, you won't know if they truly understand the skill.
