Introduction to Greek Theater

Introduction to Greek Theater
Social Studies, History, History: Ancient, Grade 6, 7, 8,

If you find it challenging to come up with an engaging approach to teach your 6-10th graders about ancient history, then the "Greek Theater Power Point Introduction" is the perfect solution to provide them with a fundamental understanding of the earliest theater. This interactive power point lesson offers a captivating glimpse of what ancient theaters looked like, igniting curiosity among the students about the origins of theater, the first plays, and its inventors. Moreover, exploring the roots of today's vocabulary, such as Theatron and Orchestra, deeply connected to ancient Greece, becomes essential when delving into the study of theater. Through this program, your students will gain insight into the life of actors during that era, discovering intriguing aspects like the absence of female actresses and the use of masks to portray characters. Egg Carton Artic, Speech Therapy Activities, Backing Phonological Process, T and D Sounds
Special Resources, Speech Therapy, Not Grade Specific, Activities

YEAR-ROUND ARTICULATION! Alveolars | t articulation | d articulation | phonological process backing | backing | Kids will LOVE shaking the egg carton while targeting their /t/ and /d/ sounds! Over 70 target words for /t/ and /d/ in all word positions! Three different games/activities included. For articulation groups or individual therapy. Great for springtime but can be used all year long! ✏ DIRECTIONS FOR USE Three different games/activities included. For articulation groups or individual therapy. 1. Dice Word Drill Place a regular dice in your egg carton with your overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box and open it. Wherever the dice lands, the student must say the corresponding word however many times the dice says. For example, if the student shakes the box and the dice lands on five under the word “cake,” the student must say the word “cake” five times. •Student can use the Monitoring Card to check off the words they have already said and to rate their productions. •To use Sentence Strips with this activity , play as directed above except instead of saying the word only, they must say it in a sentence. 2. Word Match-Up Cut up the little “match-up” word squares and place one in your egg carton with the corresponding overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box and open it. The student is trying to make the little picture land in the space that matches with the same picture in the top overlay. If the little picture lands under a word that doesn’t match, the student must say that word and try again until they match. Once they get the right match, the student can use the Monitoring Card to check off the word. Repeat until all words have been matched. 3. Picture Search Cut up the little “match-up” word squares and place one in your egg carton with the corresponding overlay affixed to the top. Have the student shake up the box but do not open it. Use the sentence strips to guess where the picture will be. Have them ask, “Where is the ____?” “Is it under the ___?”. If they get it wrong, try again. If they guess right, use the sentence strip, “I found the ____!” ♥ I suggest printing on card stock and laminating. Use tape to affix overlay to egg carton. When printing, do not scale down image for best fit on egg carton. ♥ Each purchase of this product is for one professional user only. Order of Operations with Powers and Brackets Worksheet

Order of Operations with Powers and Brackets Worksheet
Math, Order Of Operations, Grade 5, 6, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets

This printable pdf is for 5th and 6th grade math. It consists of 12 task pages and 11 answer pages. Each task page has 16 tasks to practice order of operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, brackets and power. This worksheet is intended for students who have just recently learned powers. To keep their focus on the order of operations with powers and to take into account that they may not have yet been introduced with negative bases or powers of fractions, there are no negative numbers, except in subtractions. So this worksheet doesn’t require students to know the concept of negative numbers. Pages have titles: Easy (4 pages), Intermediate (4 pages) and Expert (4 pages). Easy pages have a lot of tasks with only addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and only some powers in calculations with few terms. Intermediates have more brackets and exponents and have about 3 terms in them. Expert tasks have up to four terms and have all the operations mixed in different ways. There are answers to all the tasks with some intermediate steps. (11 pages) This helps students to check their work themselves afterwards, or students can work in small groups to check their answers with the help of the included answer pages. This helps the teacher to avoid unnecessary routine work and focus their attention where needed the most. Example use of this resource: One or two pages given to every student, students pick their challenge level themselves Teacher picks the right challenge level for every student Teacher pics one page of every challenge level and gives them to the whole group and students can strengthen their basic operations skills As an independent work packet for someone who is absent etc. Pages are decorated with cartoon style monster pictures. This resource is mainly for 5th and 6th grades, but can also be used with 7th grade as a warm-up or recap.
