They can be used together or separate. There are portrait versions that cover ancient Civilizations from Egypt/China to the discovery of the Rosetta stone and everything in between. That one is geared towards the 3rd grade Virginia SOLs. There is also a portrait version that goes from the founding of Werowocomoco to Brown vs. Board - covering all the major events listed in the 4th-5th grade VA Studies SOLs. It also includes a fun header for your display. There is also a landscape version of the entire timeline, from ancient to modern. You can print and laminate them and use them as a display or bulletin board . If you need them smaller, print them 2 to a sheet (it is VERY long if you print it all full sized).
