Famous Failures Posters
Special Resources, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Not Grade Specific, Posters, Classroom Decor
Famous failures are individuals who faced numerous setbacks and obstacles before achieving success in their respective fields. Some examples of famous failures include: Thomas Edison: Edison is known for inventing the light bulb, but he failed thousands of times before finally achieving success. He once famously said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Oprah Winfrey: Winfrey overcame a difficult childhood to become one of the most successful media moguls in the world. She was fired from her first job as a television anchor and faced numerous obstacles before launching her own talk show. J.K. Rowling: Rowling's Harry Potter series is one of the most successful book series in history, but she was rejected by multiple publishers before finding success. She has since become a household name and a global icon. Michael Jordan: Jordan is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time, but he was cut from his high school basketball team. He used this setback as motivation and went on to achieve great success in his career. Abraham Lincoln: Lincoln faced numerous setbacks and failures before becoming the 16th President of the United States. He lost several elections and faced personal tragedies, but he persevered and became one of the most respected leaders in American history. These famous failures serve as a reminder that setbacks and obstacles are a natural part of the journey to success and that perseverance and determination can help individuals overcome even the toughest challenges. Failure occurs everyday, in school, jobs, housework, and within families. It is unavoidable, irritating and causes pessimism. While the thought of flinging your hands in the air and walking away is all too appealing, take a second to connect with the people who have been there and survived. These posters will help set a positive tone in your classroom! These posters will look amazing in any classroom or school bulletin board! They include short biographies about the following "famous failures": 1. Albert Einstein 2. Beyonce Knowles 3. Bill Gates 4. Dr. Seuss 5. Henry Ford 6. J.K. Rowling 7. Oprah Winfrey 8. Thomas Edison 9. Walt Disney 10. Steve Jobs 11. Michael Jordan Clipart Credit: By PrincePadania (highly recommended)

Black History Month: 32 Inspirational Posters
, Grade 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Posters, Classroom Decor
Black History Month is an annual observance that takes place in February in the United States (and in October in the United Kingdom and Canada). It is a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions, achievements, and history of African Americans. The origins of Black History Month can be traced back to the efforts of Carter G. Woodson, an African American historian and scholar. In 1926, Woodson established "Negro History Week" to bring attention to the neglected history and accomplishments of Black individuals. This week was chosen to coincide with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass, two prominent figures in the fight against slavery and for civil rights. Over time, Negro History Week evolved into Black History Month. In 1976, it was officially recognized by the U.S. government and expanded to encompass the entire month of February. The month-long observance provides an opportunity to delve deeper into African American history, culture, and the ongoing struggle for equality and justice. During Black History Month, various events, activities, and programs are organized to educate and raise awareness about the contributions of African Americans. Schools, universities, museums, community organizations, and other institutions often host lectures, panel discussions, exhibitions, film screenings, and performances that highlight the achievements and experiences of Black individuals throughout history. Black History Month is an important time for reflection, learning, and honoring the achievements and struggles of African Americans. It serves as a reminder of the resilience, strength, and significant impact that Black individuals have had on society, as well as the ongoing need for social justice and equality for all. This product includes 32 inspirational quotes from various African American figures. The quotes will be a tremendous addition to any classroom and will inspire your students! These posters are visually appealing and will look amazing on any bulletin board ! They help create an excellent display for Black History Month! This product was developed using the amazing clipart made by Prince Padania (highly recommend).
