First of all, you can guide students through the book along with the vocabulary list. Here it shows the part of speech, the word, the definition and an example sentence. This way, students don't even need their books anymore to practice all of the words at home. Another fun element is the word search. This word search is based on the definitions, so the student is not given the correct answer right away. This way, they really have to dig into their memories to come up with the correct answer. After all of the practicing is done, it is time to do the test. You can present this by first giving the definition and then to let the student fill out the correct answer. The second part is a fill in the blanks exercise.

This letter P flipbook is the perfect tool to help preschoolers and kindergarteners learn all about the letter P! The different pages in this flip book allow students to practice recognizing the letter, writing the letter, and identifying words that begin with the letter. What is Included: This flip book has a cover page for students to simply color. The seek and find page practices letter recognition by having students identify capital and lowercase forms of the letter. The find and color page practices letter recognition of the target letter from other letters of the alphabet. Students can use dot markers to mark the letters, they can color in the letter or use stickers to cover the letters. The cut and paste page allows students to work with scissor skills to cut out examples of the letter from either printed materials, like magazines or newspapers, or students can use the letters provided at the bottom of the page. The trace and write page allows students to practice tracing and writing the capital and lowercase forms of the letter. 3rd Grade Health – Unit 1 Personal Health

For 3rd Grade Health there are seven standards that need to be taught. Unit 1 Personal Health Unit 2 Growth and Development Unit 3 Nutrition and Physical Activity Unit 4 Substance Use and Abuse Unit 5 Injury/ Violence Prevention Control and Safety Unit 6 Prevention/Control of Disease Unit 7 Environmental Consumer Health These units can be taught out of order. They are only numbered for your convenience. At the end of each unit, there is an assessment to test students’ understanding. In this unit, students will discuss and learn about healthy and unhealthy physical activities. They will discuss with the group what they think happens to their body when they are running, what causes our bodies to sweat and make our heartbeat faster and how long it takes for our bodies to recover. They will even perform some physical activities as a group and monitor what is happening to their bodies. Students will also read about healthy and unhealthy habits they do during the day. Such unhealthy habits they will read about include watching TV, playing video games, or laying around instead of doing physical activities such as skateboarding, swimming, and other activities that are good for our heart. There is a goal sheet included that will help students monitor how they can get more physical activity into their daily routines. After completing the goal sheet, they will compare it to other classmates and even improve on their physical goals that they want to accomplish. In the unit, there is a worksheet about making healthy eating habits. What foods kids should avoid like sugary sweets, greasy foods, chips and sodas. Student will discuss the consequences of eating unhealthy foods verses eating healthy options. Lastly, there is a worksheet on the importance of sleep. How much sleep kids need at their age and why it's important to go to bed on time each night. There are 13 pages included in all. In the end, there is an assignment to test for understanding. There are seven units that cover all the health requirements for 3rd grade. Through using this Substance Use and Abuse: Health: 4th and 5th Grade Unit 4 students will explore and learn to identify daily healthy habits. With this 4th and 5th Grade Unit 4: Substance Use and Abuse lesson plan, your students will learn how to avoid these harmful substances. It has 16 pages of engaging activities with the opportunity for your students to identify and practice healthy habits as they learn to understand the long-term and short-term effects of drugs and other harmful substances. Along with that, they will learn and develop refusal skills to avoid drugs in unhealthy situations. Part of the activities include writing a letter to a friend that will warn them about the effects of drugs. Students will also learn how the media often influences the use of helpful and harmful drugs. Through these lessons, your students will gain a comprehension of the importance of making good healthy choices. Along with all this, there's a worksheet on coping skills that is helpful for students who are dealing with family or friends who are using drugs. Woodrow Wilson, the 28th U.S. President led the country through World War I. The U.S. joined the war in 1917 on the side of the Allies, and an armistice was signed in 1918 to end the fighting. Although the United States was the last country to join the fighting, Wilson's bold move to ensure that future wars could be prevented is historic. His ideas are outlined in his 14 points for peace. This product comes with an introductory reading on Woodrow Wilson's 14 Points for Peace. In the past, I have found that going through the 14 Points is difficult for students, so this activity allows them to look at each point and to try to illustrate it. The illustrations can be done with online tools or by hand - the choice is theirs. Additionally, this produce includes an introductory reading and audio for students to follow along to.
