Multiplication Charts: 3rd Grade 4th Grade 5th Grade 6th Grade
Special Resources, Math, Early Math, Multiplication and Division, Division, Special Education Needs (SEN), Grade 3, 4, 5, 6, Charts, Teacher Tools
These multiplication charts or times table grids start out with a standard 10 by 10 grid that teachers and students might be familiar with. Then, level by level, a single times table is taken away each time. I suggest teaching a mini-lesson or spending a class on each separate times table until you believe that your student or students comprehend how to calculate its facts. - 1: one times any number is that number - 10: add a zero when multiplying by ten - 2: double a number or count by twos - 5: count by fives & ends in 5 or 0 - 3: count by threes - 9: use the nine times finger trick - 4: double double This leaves just 6 times tables facts left for students to memorize: (6x6, 6x7, 6x8, 7x7, 7x8, and 8x8) You can print any number of the grids for your students to use (that way you can adapt for each student's unique needs). If you feel confident that your student knows his or her 1 and 10 tables, print them a chart without those facts so they can challenge themselves to recall them. This supports students as they work toward multiplication mastery step by step! What's Included: 9 Page PDF - 8 levelled multiplication grids in pastel colors - 8 levelled multiplication grids in B&W Grades to Use With: These could be useful in grade 3 as students start to learn their times tables. They could also be a handy tool for students in older grades who have IEPs that call for math adaptations or accommodations. Community Helpers Pocket Chart Game
ELA, Language Development, Pre-Reading, Math, Early Math, Numbers, Kindergarten, Preschool, Charts, Teacher Tools
Community Helpers Pocket Chart Game Support your students’ learning with thisCommunity Helpers Pocket Chart Game. This resource was specifically designed to sharpen students’ letter and number identification. What You Get: (included in color and black and white) A 15-page printable PDF. The PDF will include activity cards and a title cover option with directions to use for the bin that you store the cards in. How to Use the Community Helpers Pocket Chart Game: Kids love this carpet game. I set it up as part of our circle time or whole group lessons, and kids beg to play it over and over. This game works great with a community helpers, safety, or career thematic unit and helps students learn to identify numbers 0-10 or 0-20 depending on how many cards you set out. This also works great as an uppercase letter and lowercase letter alphabet review activity. Set up is simple: Print, cut, and laminate. I store my pocket chart games in Ziploc bags and keep them in a tub under my easel. To play: Set up letter cards behind each community helper card. You will sing a song. The student you called will come up and point to a community helper card. The class will say the number on the card. The teacher will lift the card revealing a letter card. Enrichment: I like to really make this game pack a learning punch by asking students the animal colors, having them draw numbers in the air or on their hands with a finger, asking them how many cards are left, and asking them to hold up that many fingers in different ways. These quick variations keep the game exciting as well. I hope you enjoy!!
