There are questions on plant parts, pollination, fertilization, seeds structure and their dispersal and germination. How to Play Pupils work in teams of three or four. Each team lays out their 42 cards face down in a square and take it in turn to turn over two cards. f the cards are a question and its correct answer, the pupil keeps the pair. If they are not a match they are turned face down and the next pupil gets a turn. This process continues until all cards are matched and the winner is the pupil with the most pairs. If a team member thinks that the selectors pair is not a correct match, they can challenge. The 21-page, easy-prep lesson plan will engage your students as they write, revise, and then present their poems. The lesson is designed to meet the needs of all your students through differentiation and scaffolding. The detailed lesson plan is divided over 4 days, and each day presents a different aspect of poetry reading, writing, revising, and presenting. each day. Day 1: Reading the Poems and Making Meaning- As a class, students will read several Halloween and/or Autumn poems (links to poems are provided) and make meaning of the poems by learning about author's craft and mood. The lesson plan gives step-by-step directions for teachers to model reading a poem, identifying literary devices (rhyme scheme, alliteration, etc) and figurative language (similes, metaphors, etc.) and to explore how the poet conveys mood in the poem. As you know, many children are word readers and have difficulty comprehending text. Sometimes you need to useeasier text and focus on comprehending even though a child may be capable of reading higher leveled stories.
