Getting Dressed Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Getting Dressed Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Getting Dressed Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this getting dressed vocabulary puzzle set for my 1st and 2nd graders during our daily life unit. The kids could get dressed but had no idea what words like shirt, pants, or buttons meant when we talked about clothing. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like shirt, pants, shoes, socks, dress, skirt, shorts, jacket, coat, hat, belt, zipper, buttons, and outfit. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the clothing vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a jacket and coat are the same thing. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple shirt, shoe, and hat drawings but nothing too busy. Works for K through 2nd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw their favorite outfit on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables

Administrative Professionals Day word Scramble puzzle worksheet activity Administrative Professionals Day Word Scramble Worksheet I made this word scramble last year for our school office staff appreciation day. It's a simple 2-page activity with 24 scrambled words that celebrate everything our amazing secretaries and office professionals do - terms like "organize," "schedule," and "multitask." The office staff loved when my 5th graders presented these to them! We used it as part of our thank-you cards, with students solving the puzzles to reveal special messages. The words range from everyday office items ("printer," "stapler") to important skills ("coordinator," "efficient"). You'll get: • Page 1: The scramble with school-friendly terms • Page 2: Answer key for quick checking Perfect for: Classroom thank-you projects Office appreciation events Career day activities I included words we actually hear our secretaries use daily - "attendance," "newsletter," even "laminator" because ours works so hard! The kids especially enjoyed figuring out "receptionist" and brainstorming all the jobs that person does. Format: No-fuss PDF (2 pages) Teacher Tip: Have students use 3 solved words in thank-you notes!

Number Patterns word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this number patterns puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our math unit. The kids could count but had no idea how to find the rule in a pattern like 2, 4, 6, 8 or 5, 10, 15, 20. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like pattern, sequence, rule, term, next, before, add, subtract, multiply, divide, increase, decrease, even, odd, and predict. Examples include +2, +5, +10, -3, and doubling. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the pattern vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about what comes after 20 in the pattern 2,4,6,8. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple number line and arrow drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write the next three numbers in the pattern 3,6,9,12 on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Mean Median Mode Range word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this mean, median, mode, and range puzzle set for my 5th graders during our statistics unit. The kids kept mixing up which was which no matter how many times I explained them. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like mean, average, add, divide, median, middle, order, sort, mode, most often, range, subtract, smallest, largest, and data set. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the four terms finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether you always have to put numbers in order before finding the median. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple number line and arrow drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 5th through 6th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers find the mean, median, mode, and range of 5, 10, 15, 15, 20 on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Indigenous People of Canada word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this Indigenous Peoples of Canada puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our social studies unit. The kids had some knowledge but kept mixing up "First Nations," "Inuit," and "Métis" or didn't understand that these are three distinct groups with their own unique cultures, languages, and histories . I wanted to build their vocabulary around these foundational terms without overwhelming them, so I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like Indigenous, First Nations, Inuit, Métis, Nation, Treaty, Turtle Island, Elders, powwow, and culture . I also made sure to include "Inuk" as the singular form for Inuit because the kids always ask about that . The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or independent practice. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the difference between "First Nations" and "Aboriginal" (I gently explain that "Indigenous" is now the preferred collective term, while "Aboriginal" is still used in some legal contexts but many find it outdated) . The crossword I use for partners or as a review after we've studied the map of Inuit Nunangat or looked at traditional territories. I added a couple simple feather, drum, and inukshuk drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one word from the puzzles and write a sentence about what it means on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Bridges and Structures word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Bridges and Structures word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Bridges and Structures word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this bridges and structures puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our STEM unit. The kids could see bridges but had no idea what words like beam, arch, or suspension meant when we talked about how bridges stay up. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like beam, arch, suspension, truss, pillar, support, weight, span, cross, and build. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the bridge vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether an arch bridge is stronger than a beam bridge. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple arch, beam, and suspension bridge drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw a bridge design on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Integers word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this integers puzzle set for my 5th graders during our math unit. The kids had heard of negative numbers like below zero temperatures but had no idea what words like integer, positive, or absolute value meant. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like integer, positive, negative, zero, number line, opposite, absolute value, greater than, less than, add, subtract, temperature, debt, sea level, and above/below. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the integer terms finally click. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether zero is positive or negative. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple thermometer and number line drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 5th through 6th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write the opposite of -7 on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

National Honesty Day word Scramble puzzle worksheet activity National Honesty Day Word Scramble Worksheet I made this word scramble for my 5th graders last year when we celebrated National Honesty Day (April 30th). It's a simple 2-page PDF with 24 scrambled words about honesty and integrity - from easy ones like "truth" and "fair" to more challenging terms like "integrity" and "authentic." We used it as a warm-up activity before our class discussion about why honesty matters. The kids loved racing to see who could unscramble "trustworthy" first! I printed them on light blue paper to match our "honesty" theme. You get: • Page 1: The student worksheet with all scrambled words • Page 2: A no-fuss answer key I like using this when: Teaching character education Needing a quick morning activity Preparing for our ethics unit The words are practical ones we actually use in class - "promise," "lie" (for discussion!), and "apology." Last year, unscrambling "consequences" led to a great talk about how our choices affect others. Format: Basic PDF (2 pages) Teacher Tip: Have students pick one unscrambled word to use in a sentence about why honesty is important!

Grade 3 Multiplication Words word search, scramble and crossword puzzl

Grade 3 Multiplication Words word search, scramble and crossword puzzl
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables

Grade 3 Multiplication Words word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this multiplication words puzzle set for my 3rd graders during our math unit. The kids could solve simple multiplication problems but had no idea what words like factor, product, or array meant when we started using the vocabulary. They also kept mixing up "times" and "multiply" because they're used in different contexts but mean the same thing. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like multiply, times, factor, product, array, equal groups, repeated addition, equation, number sentence, and times table . I also included a few like "division" and "inverse" because they kept coming up when we talked about the relationship between multiplication and division . Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or independent practice. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the spelling of "multiplication" (it's a long one) or whether a product is always the answer to a multiplication problem (it is—they always have opinions about it) . The crossword I use for partners or as a review, and I usually have an array of counters or a multiplication chart nearby for the kids who need the visual support to see the concepts . I added a couple simple arrays of stars and equal groups of blocks but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write a multiplication sentence and label the factors and product on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
