Teamwork Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Teamwork Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this teamwork vocabulary puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our social-emotional learning and group work unit. The kids could work in groups but had no idea what words like cooperation, collaboration, or trust meant when we talked about how to be a good team member. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like team, partner, cooperate, collaborate, help, listen, share, trust, support, and celebrate. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the teamwork vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether the goal of teamwork is just to finish faster or also to help each other learn. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple handshake, puzzle piece, and star drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one thing a good teammate does on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Ballet Terms word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this ballet terms puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our dance unit. The kids loved watching dancers but had no idea what words like plié, jeté, or arabesque meant when I tried to teach them basic ballet positions. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like plié, jeté, arabesque, pirouette, tendu, rond de jambe, dégagé, chassé, pas de chat, grand jeté, barre, turnout, posé, and arabesque. I also threw in a few like chassé and pirouette because they're fun to say. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the ballet vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or during indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about how to pronounce plié or whether a jeté is a jump or a slide. The crossword I use for partners or as a review after a movement lesson. I added a couple simple dancer silhouette and ballet shoe drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers demonstrate a plié at their desk and write the name on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like nonprofit, volunteer, service, community, donation, grant, mission, cause, advocate, and humanitarian . Asian Countries word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this Asian countries puzzle set for my 4th graders during our world geography unit. The kids could name China and Japan but had no idea about other Asian countries like Vietnam, Thailand, or Indonesia. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like China, Japan, India, South Korea, North Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Russia. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the country names finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about which country has the largest population. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple continent outline and pagoda drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers name one country and its capital on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Rosa Parks word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this Rosa Parks puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our Civil Rights unit. The kids had heard she refused to give up her bus seat but had no idea that one quiet act helped start a huge movement. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like Rosa Parks, bus, seat, refuse, arrest, brave, segregation, boycott, Montgomery, protest, civil rights, equality, justice, leader, and change. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the story finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether Rosa Parks was the first person to refuse her bus seat. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple bus and silhouette drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one fact about the Montgomery Bus Boycott on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

World Clothing and Fashion word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

World Clothing and Fashion word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

World Clothing and Fashion word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this world clothing and fashion vocabulary puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our global studies unit. The kids could name a few items like jeans and t-shirts, but they had no idea what words like kimono, sari, or kilt meant when we explored traditional clothing from around the world. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like kimono, sari, kilt, hanbok, dashiki, kente, poncho, huipil, agbada, and cheongsam. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the global clothing vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or independent practice. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a sari is worn in India or Pakistan or both (it's both, but the draping styles vary). The crossword I use for partners or as a review after we've looked at pictures of traditional clothing. I added a couple simple sari, kimono, and kilt drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one piece of clothing from the puzzles and draw it on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
