Fractions, decimals & rational numbers
Dividing fractions is taught across four guided-notes lessons: whole numbers by fractions, fractions by whole numbers, fractions by fractions, and mixed numbers. Each lesson opens with a warm-up word problem, works through a modeled example using a visual fraction model and a matching multiplication equation, then moves into fill-in-the-blank practice problems and real-world scenarios such as splitting fruit into smoothies or slicing a roll of biscuit dough. A vocabulary page at the start of the packet has students define terms including reciprocal, algorithm, numerator, and quotient. The notes are formatted as blank fill-in-the-blank pages meant to be projected and completed alongside the teacher, with a teacher-copy section included. Two supplied PDFs contain substantially overlapping material: 36 pages in one version and 35 in the other.
