Shakespeare's Macbeth: Story Summary Worksheets and Tests
ELA, Reading, Grade 10, 11, 12, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
The sixteen Macbeth Story Summary Worksheets in this book have been written to help students understand the key points of this classic tale by William Shakespeare. Each two-page spread contains an answer key and a corresponding student page, and each worksheet covers a part of the play that can be read during a classroom period lasting approximately forty minutes. The Fill-in-the-Blank worksheets can be used in several different ways: - At the start of the class, as a “Do Now” activity ; - As an in-class assignment after a section of the play has been read; - As a homework assignment for students to complete; - As a quiz to measure student understanding of the play; - As a way to assist those students who are frequently absent from class; - As a way for the teacher to quickly review specific sections of the play. Every student worksheet contains twelve choices, and usually twelve blanks, unless otherwise specified. Special notes are included on the bottom of those pages where alternate directions are necessary. Appendix A includes five tests, one for each act of the play, along with the corresponding answer keys. Each test contains story ordering activities, as well as questions which require that the students write in full and complete sentences. Other types of questions, which differ from test to test, include character identification, multiple choice, true-false, and short-answer questions. In addition to the five tests, Appendix A also includes two essay questions. Appendix B contains a list of the five Common Core Reading Standards for Literature that this edition of the Macbeth Story Summary Worksheets & Tests helps students meet. The Story Summary Worksheets effectively and faithfully summarize the story of Macbeth. It is my hope that these Story Summary Worksheets & Tests will be useful for you and your students as you read this classic and timeless tale by William Shakespeare. Physical Science Bell Ringers Unit 1 - 45 Daily Warm-Ups (Grades 6-8)
Chemistry, Science, Grade 6, 7, 8, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
These physical science bell-ringers give middle school students a calm, consistent way to begin class. Unit 1 gathers 45 short prompts on matter, atoms & the periodic table, arranged as nine weekly pages a teacher can hand out each Monday and collect on Friday. Each day asks something different. Monday introduces a term and asks students to use it, not just recite it. Tuesday supplies two or three sentences of real science and a question that can only be answered by reading them. Wednesday poses an analysis problem or a short calculation, worked the way a scientist would work it. Thursday is a quick multiple-choice check a teacher can scan in seconds. Friday asks for a claim supported by evidence, which is the reasoning skill the standards care most about and the one students get the least practice with. That variety keeps a daily routine from going stale while still reinforcing the properties of matter, the states of matter and the particle model, phase changes, elements, compounds and mixtures, solutions and separating mixtures, the structure of the atom, the periodic table, metals, nonmetals and metalloids, and density and measurement. The quantitative prompts were written deliberately so that every answer resolves to a whole number, which keeps a warm-up to five minutes and keeps the key beyond dispute. Everything is print-first: a clean PDF that copies well, uses little ink, prints two-sided so a full week fits on one sheet, and needs no student accounts, devices, or logins. A complete answer key covers all 45 prompts, and a standards page lists the NGSS middle school physical science codes and the CCSS literacy in science codes the set actually addresses. Designed for grades 6-8, the prompts work as a daily opener while attendance is taken, as an exit slip at the end of the period, as spiral review before a test, or as ready-made work to leave for a substitute. Teachers who want the whole course can buy the full-year set of 180 prompts, of which this unit is one quarter.

Here’s a realistic and engaging way to teach upper elementary pupils in grades 3-6 about budgeting while introducing some basic financial literacy too! How to Use: 1) Each student will be assigned a monthly budget (from $1,700 all the way to $5,000). 2) They select one of three options (low, medium, pricey) for each spending category: housing, eating, transportation, technology, & clothing. They might find that they have to change their choices as they move through the process. Making sacrifices is part of budgeting in real life too! 3) Students add up the amounts they spend and calculate how much they can save per month (and throughout the entire year). 4) They pick what luxury option they would save for over time: a car, a video game system, a vacation, or a house. This lesson is full of fun and bright visuals and charts that are well-organized to ensure that this math learning is accessible to all the students in your class! Math skills needed: Addition - up to 1,000 Subtraction - 4-digit numbers Multiplication - 4-digit numbers by 12 Grades to Use With: This lessons is designed to be accessible to younger students in the elementary years (grades 3-6) because it uses simple math skills and bright and engaging visuals.
