Students will make an addition and subtraction sum using the numbers in each question. With this worksheet, students will be practicing inverse operations. Inverse operations are a set of two opposite operations. They are operations that undo each other. Students can utilize a set of 3 numbers to complete addition and subtract operations that undo each other. This is a 1-page printable that consists of 11 questions. The first question is complete for students as an example. With 10 other questions for students to complete, this will make a great assessment if you need to take a quick math grade. For each question, there will be 3 numbers for students to analyze. Students will write an addition sum using those 3 numbers. Then they will write the opposite operation in subtraction form. This is a great printable that you could assign for homework. You could also use this worksheet for an emergency substitute assignment. It could also be placed in math centers or used as an early finisher assignment. If you are looking to see how well students are mastering inverse operations, you could use it during small groups. It would also be great to use as a pre-test and post-test assignment.
