Adapted PE IEP Goal Bank: 35 Motor + Participation Goals for SPED

About This Product
An adapted PE IEP goal bank with 35 measurable goals across six areas: locomotor skills, object control, game participation, fitness engagement, self-advocacy in PE, and community recreation. Every goal shows a suggested way to take data.
Why I made this: APE goals too often end up as "will improve gross motor skills," which nobody can measure. I wanted a bank of goals with real conditions and criteria that a team can edit in a few minutes and actually take data on in a busy PE class.
What's included:
• How to use the bank: start with present levels, edit instead of pasting, pick 2 to 4 goals
• The parts of a measurable APE goal, with an example and present level tips for PE
• 6 domain pages with 35 goals, each with a suggested data method and a list of supports to adjust
• Measuring progress: 6 data methods (trial count, time or distance, prompt level, frequency, checklist, self-rating)
• A blank goal-writing page with a quick quality check
• A goal progress tracker
How I use it: I pick two to four goals per student after looking at present levels, change the numbers and supports, and set up the tracker before the IEP meeting. Most data comes from short probes during warm-ups or a station day.
Who it is for: Adapted PE teachers, general PE teachers serving students with IEPs, special education case managers, and related service providers. The examples are written for secondary students and adjust down easily for elementary.
How it fits: this bank is motor skills and PE participation only, with no behavior or vocational goals. It pairs with the adapted PE sport units in this series, which have skill check rubrics at Levels A, B, and C.
What you download: one printable PDF, 13 pages, US Letter.
Also in my Adapted PE series: the Basketball, Soccer, Bowling, Bocce, Track and Field, and Volleyball units, plus Movement Break Timer Slides. Every sport unit uses the same Level A/B/C layout, so students know the routine when you move to the next sport.

At a glance: grades K-12 (examples written for secondary students), 35 goals across 6 areas, a data method for every goal, and a goal progress tracker. 13-page PDF, US Letter. No prep beyond printing; edit the numbers and supports to fit each student.
