This 3rd grade curriculum map lays out a 36-week year, September through June, for ELA, math, science and social studies. Every subject gets ten monthly plans, and each plan pairs a short learning sequence with a suggested piece of evidence to collect: an opinion piece with text-based reasons in November ELA, say, or a measurement station and scaled line plot in March math. Science moves from weather and climate through forces, magnets, life cycles, habitats and fossils. Social studies starts in the classroom and widens to maps, community history, local government and a local inquiry project, so you can match topics to your own state requirements.
Most of the planning happens in the Excel workbook. Year Map holds the month-by-subject grid and week counts, Unit Plans holds all 40 sequences with revisit notes, and Coverage Audit shows which grade-level expectations each month schedules. Two more sheets, Ongoing Skills and Local Review, keep recurring routines and your own decisions in one place. The ten PDF pages give you a readable copy of the whole year for printing or a team planning meeting.
