Fruits and Vegetables word search, scramble and crossword

⭐I made this fruits and vegetables puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our nutrition unit. The kids could name junk food all day but froze when I asked them to list vegetables. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like apple, banana, carrot, broccoli, lettuce, tomato, potato, grapes, and spinach. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help them learn the names.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they mix up letters in "broccoli" or argue whether tomato is a fruit or vegetable. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple apple and carrot drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I ask early finishers to pick their favorite fruit and vegetable and write one sentence about each on the back. The kids actually enjoy these.
