⭐ I made this chicken life cycle puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our spring science unit on animals. The kids were getting bored just labeling the same diagram over and over. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like embryo, hatchling, chick, hen, rooster, and incubate. Nothing fancy — just simple puzzles that keep them working with the vocabulary without whining.

⭐ The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page for all of them. The word search is good for quiet time after lunch. The scramble gets them talking because they mix up "chick" and "hatch" sometimes. The crossword is better for partners. I put a tiny egg and chick drawing on each page but nothing too busy.

⭐ Works for 1st through 4th grade depending on the kid. Print and go. I sometimes have early finishers pick one word and write a sentence on the back. That's it. The kids actually like these more than my regular worksheets.
