This printable sieve of Eratosthenes is 400 numbers long (instead of the usual 100). The Sieve of Eratosthenes is a good way to find small prime numbers. It goes as follows: 1. Cross out number 1 2. Circle next number that is not crossed out (the first one is 2) 3. Cross out numbers that are divisible by number you just circled Repeat faces 2 and 3 until there are nothing but primes left. This longer version gives interested students a possibility to examine further, how much prime numbers there are when we go further with the natural numbers. (This is interesting, because it kind of connects very simple school math with higher level mathematics. If students want to examine further, for example from Wikipedia, they will realize that the density of prime numbers (prime number theorem) is something that a number of very skilled mathematicians have spent countless hours with. Of course, knowing the first prime number is essential to survive with more complicated fractions in secondary mathematics (or higher). That way, faster students can find all the primes lower than 400 in the same time when some students may be able to find only the smaller ones. Each of these student groups will at the end of the day benefit from it. This one is free! The pdf is not editable and most suitable for printing and then doing with pencil and paper. This goes with different grade levels from upper elementary to high school.

Through this engaging Career Exploration Project students will explore jobs in different sectors including: healthcare, education, tourism, business, medicine, and more! This project is unique as it encourages students to think creatively and research less common options for careers, instead of only the stereotypes we always talk about. So, instead of doctor in the healthcare field, what about a phlebotomist, a heart valve specialist, or a paediatric nurse? Instead of a president in the field of government, what about a speech writer, a social media expert, or a municipal clerk? There are so many varied jobs out there- and many of them students don't even know exist. Each student will be assigned one career sector. You can pick yourself, or let your students choose what they are most interested in. They will think of three of the common stereotypical jobs in that sector. Then, they will do research to discover four more unique or less common options. For each new career they think of, they must find out the education required to get that job the skills needed before you can be hired the daily activities that you will do the pay range At the end, students can pick their favourite option from the four new careers they have researched and present what they have discovered to the class. 22, Taylor Swift - BUCKET DRUMMING!

Need to connect with your kids with their pop music through general music? Involve them in bucket drumming with Taylor Swift's smash hit "22" There are three all-color coded slides along with the form identifiers listed next to each phrase. Discuss form with the students and teach them (by rote) the rhythms on the powerpoint with the corresponding repeats (most are repeated 3 or 4times). Then, apply it to drums! This resource was developed to meet the requirements of the 8th Grade Expressions & Equations Standards below: CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.EE .C.8 Analyze and solve pairs of simultaneous linear equations. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.EE .C.8.B Solve systems of two linear equations in two variables algebraically, and estimate solutions by graphing the equations. Solve simple cases by inspection.For example, 3x + 2y = 5 and 3x + 2y = 6 have no solution because 3x + 2y cannot simultaneously be 5 and 6. It contains the following resources: 1) Systems of Equations: Elimination PARTNER PRACTICE · Each partner will solve 8 systems of equations by substitution (ax+by=c paired with ax+by=c) · Partners have different systems to solve but should find the same answers* 2) Answer Keys to All Parts *Matching answers are a great way to have a built-in answer key process! This saves YOU time, but primarily, it should lead to ERROR ANALYSIS when students find answers that do not match. Optional Use: If your students need more than just 8 practice problems, print the pages front & back and have each student do all 16. The built-in answer key process will still work, but may not have as much impact as checking with a partner for a different perspective.
