Letter Search - A-Z

Letter Search - A-Z
ELA, Language Development, Phonics, Kindergarten, Grade 1, Activities

This material is an independent and interactive exercise for visual perception of letters, eye-hand coordination and fine motor development. The pictures can be used with any reading course, regardless of the textbook. Task The pupils look for the indicated letter in the grid and place a muggle stone (glass nugget, button or similar material) on the field. The letter is additionally emphasized by the magnifying effect of the muggle stones. Each letter/sound is supplemented by a matching sound picture. Self-check Once all the letters have been found, the respective letters can be seen as a self-check. Possible uses The material is suitable, for example, for free work or stations on the respective letters during the development of the letters/sounds in initial lessons. Alternatively, pupils can also mark the letters with a marker pen. Development goals Promote visual perception: students develop the ability to identify and recognize letters in a visual pattern. Eye-hand coordination: By placing the muggle pieces on the corresponding circles, students develop their fine motor skills and improve their hand-eye coordination. Fine motor development: Grasping and placing the muggle bricks requires precise dexterity and strengthens students' fine motor skills. Alphabet awareness: The exercises help pupils to recognize the individual letters and link them to their sounds. They promote an understanding of the structure of the language. Self-checking: Once pupils have found all the letters, they can check whether they have worked correctly by looking at the letters they have put together. This promotes their independent learning and their ability to self-monitor. Preparation The color placement pictures can be laminated for multiple use or provided in a leaflet sleeve. The print-friendly or black-and-white version can be glued onto colored copy or clay paper, for example. Tip: The smaller muggle stones between 10 and 12 mm are best suited. Best Regards, Doreen Blumhagen - Die Relitante

Number Recognition Pixel Art - Numbers 2-9

Number Recognition Pixel Art - Numbers 2-9
Math, Early Math, Numbers, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Activities

Are you looking for fun activities for practicing number recognition? These pixel art worksheets are perfect for getting your students to practice number identification for the numbers 2-9! Different options for how to use this resource: Cut and paste You can choose to print the colour square pages on white paper. -This is the simplest option, but it will take a lot of colour ink. Or you can choose to print the black line squares pages on colour paper. -This will use a lot less ink, but it will take a little more work to prepare. -You may struggle to find colour paper in all the colours I have used. If you have a problem finding the right colours, you can generally substitute a different colour if you need to. Simply look at the answer key to see what the pictures are and choose an appropriate substitute colour. Colour by number You will only need to print the worksheets and allow the students to colour the squares themselves. Preparation: Worksheets 3 printing options: 1. Full colour - best if you will be able to use all the same colours that I have used. 2. Partial colour – I have left the colours blank. You will need to tell your students what colours to use for each number before they can start the activity . This is best if you need to make some substitutions because you are printing on colour paper and cannot find all the correct colours. 3. Black and white - like with the partial colour version, you will need to tell your students what colours to use for each number before they can start the activity . Squares Pages If you are using this resource as a cut and paste activity . 2 printing options: 1 .Colour squares pages (Print on white paper. Each page will have information telling you what picture it is meant for. Simply give each student a block with the different colour squares along with their worksheet) 2. Black line squares pages (print on colour paper. Each page will have information telling you which picture it is meant for, as well as the recommended colour paper to use, and how many students will be able to get their squares from one page. Cut on the dotted lines and give each student one section of each colour page for the picture they are working on.) God Created Vegetables

God Created Vegetables
ELA, Writing, Handwriting, Reading, Kindergarten, Activities

Biblical Facts Married to Education! This is the latest in my growing, "God Created..." series and I'm excited to share this with you. First of all, as a dietitian, I think giving kiddos hands-on activities related to vegetables will encourage them to eat more healthily. Also, I was inspired by the story of Daniel and his friends who went on a "vegetable" only diet and proved to the Babylonian king that their diet was healthier than the Babylonians' diet. So, I thought it would inspire kids by combining biblical teachings with hands-on learning about vegetables. My God Created Series, including this God Created Vegetables workbook, is ideal for homeschooling families, Sunday schools, or family Bible studies! It is also appropriate for classroom use and multi-age families as there is something for everyone, regardless of reading level! I design my products to enhance children's understanding of God's creation while improving their literacy and cognitive skills. I believe this activity pack and Bible study will foster appreciation for the natural world and God's design. My activity pack is perfect for all ages, but particularly for students who are in grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade, which makes it ideal for younger learners. The activities can be used in many settings, including the home, for Sunday school, or even family Bible study. All of my products are flexible and can be used for children with different learning styles, whether hands-on or not. I've provided answer keys for all activities, to make assessment of student progress and understanding as easy as possible. Inside, you will find: Handwriting & Reading Practice: Exercises to improve students' handwriting and reading skills, with the focus being vocabulary of vegetables. Memory Matching Game: To increase engagement and add variety to your students' school day. Bible Study Activities: These activities help students connect what the Bible says about vegetables with the importance of eating healthy. Assessment: As mentioned above, I've included answer keys to simplify student evaluation.

Guided Reading Lesson Plan & Activities for Grade 7

Guided Reading Lesson Plan & Activities for Grade 7
Reading, ELA, Grade 7, Activities, Lesson Plans, Teacher Tools

Seventh graders can concentrate better on enhancing the skills they started to cultivate in 6th grade without the extra pressure of adapting to the new middle school setting. By 7th grade, it is anticipated that students have adjusted to middle school life and are thus expected to operate more autonomously while managing their time and schedules with diminished (but still some) support. Typically, in 7th grade, students expand upon the abilities they acquired in 6th grade by engaging with more intricate and lengthy texts and essays in both writing and reading. This effort will equip them for 8th grade, where they will solidify and enhance their skills, ultimately positioning them for success in high school. In 7th grade, learners enhance their skills in analyzing the texts they read and supporting their analysis with evidence from the text. In particular, 7th grade students focus on scrutinizing texts more thoroughly and utilizing details from the text to formulate ideas, conduct analysis, and draw inferences. This ebook contains a comprehensive 90-minute lesson plan, featuring activities and suggested answers.

Statistical vs. Non-Statistical Questions – Grade 6

Statistical vs. Non-Statistical Questions – Grade 6
Math, Statistics, Common Core, Grade 5, 6, 7, 8, Activities

This activity is designed to target Common Core State Standards 6th Grade Math Statistics 6.SP.A.1 It is a great opener for a unit on statistics and probability as it gets your students thinking about what statistics really are! Students are taught what a statistical question is: a question that has numerical answers that vary. They are shown ways to collect data for statistical questions: survey, using previously collected data such as a census, observations, or measuring. Next, 8 questions are included. Students need to identify if they are statistical questions or not. If they are, students think of how the data might be collected. If they are not, students explain what aspects of a statistical question are missing. Finally, students write 4 questions of their own (one should not be a statistical question) and they trade with a friend to see if they can identify the odd one out. This product would be a great warm-up before my Create Dot Plots and Histograms assignment, as students will need to generate a statistical question for that project. Grades to Use With: This product is designed to target 6th Grade Math Common Core State Standards for Statistics and Probability. However, it can also be used for enrichment in grade 5 classes, or for review in grades 7 and 8.
