CVCCC, CCVCC and CCCVC Words Phonics Activities

CVCCC, CCVCC and CCCVC Words Phonics Activities
ELA, Language Development, Phonics, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities

A large phonics packet gives students repeated practice decoding consonant-blend word patterns — CCVCC, CCCVC, and CVCCC words such as blimp, scroll, and vests — through 17 worksheet activities and 4 print-and-play games, all drawn from one shared 38-word master list. It opens with individual display posters and two styles of word cards, with pictures and without, for a word wall or sound wall, then moves into worksheets like Read and Write (segmenting a word sound-by-sound into boxes), Word Hunt and Find the Words (word-search style circling), Match the Sentence (cutting out a sentence and matching it to its picture), and Change the Sound (swapping one sound in a word to build a new one). Four games — Roll and Read, 4 in a Row, Tic Tac Toe, and Roll, Read and Write — turn the same word list into partner or small-group practice for word-work centers . No answer key is included, since the tasks check themselves through reading aloud, picture matching, or teacher observation rather than a single written answer.
