Interactive Listening Game: A Resource from Virtually Montessori This game is an interactive game tailored for students in the third to fifth-grade range: the Interactive Listening Game.
Interactive Listening Games gives each of 30 students one printed card from a set; every card lists a cue phrase or action that a previous card ends on, so hearing or seeing that cue tells the student holding the matching card to speak or act next, chaining the whole class through a single unbroken sequence. Three separate 30-card sets are included so the game can be replayed without repeating the same sequence, and each set's game number is printed in the card's corner to keep the decks sorted. A directions page tells the teacher to laminate the cards, distribute one per student (doubling up cards if there are fewer than 30 students), and let the student holding the 'Start the game' card begin. An answer key lists the full 30-step sequence for each set for checking the order and helping the class continue when the chain stalls.

Send students online to investigate questions across history, geography, science, entertainment, and sports. Each item has a place for an answer and the URL where the student found it, making source recording part of the task. The worksheet limits Wikipedia use to encourage a wider search, and a separate solutions file supports review. Use the responses to discuss how students chose search terms and decided whether a source answered the question.
This three-page PDF contains two student pages and a 22-item teacher key. Students practice choosing search terms, answer questions across history, geography, sports and inventions, then write five questions for a partner. The key contains dated and questionable answers. Correct or replace affected questions before assigning them, and ask students to record a reliable source and research date.
