You can choose any method to hang the banner but the method that works best for me is to hole punch both top corners and string ribbon or yarn through. My students like doing these after every new concept mastered. They get to color and get creative! It is always so nice for them to see how much they learned. There are 10 banners, printed 2 per page. You will print as many pages as you need for your entire classroom, so you’ll probably print each banner at least twice. You may even choose to have every student do multiple pages, so there are many banners to hang throughout the room. Students could complete these on their own or work with a partner to solve the problems. An answer key is included. I hope you enjoy! Alphabet Flashcards: Phonetic: Words and Pictures A set of 26 letters with 26 matching pictures to help children learn the letters, their sounds and beginning sounds of words in preparation for learning to read with phonics. There are many ways to use the alphabet flashcards Several activities are suggested: The child can be asked to match the whole set of letters, A-Z, with the matching pictures, by beginning sound. Sound match: Select the sounds you want your pupil to practice - the number can vary according to the needs of the child: find the matching letters and pictures, and either lay them on the table or, for more active children, you could place them around the room for the child to find. Either let the child select/find a picture and then find the sound it begins with, or vice versa. Sound match: Select the sounds you want your pupil to practice - the number can vary according to the needs of the child: find the matching letters and pictures. Place one set, either letters or pictures, on the table, spread out. Hold the other in your hand. Show the child a card from your hand and ask the pupil to find the matching letter/picture. Play I Spy: Place a selection of letters and pictures (not necessarily matching) on the table face up. Say, I spy with my little eye the letter (and say the sound), or something that begins with the sound ... (say the sounds). Play memory match: turn a selection of pictures and their matching letters face down on the table. Take it in turns to choose 2 cards, turn them over and see if they match...replace any that do not - but can you remember where they are for when you need them? Children love this game! Who are the alphabet flashcards for? All ages and abilities Special needs children ESL, EFL learners, Who can use the phonetic alphabet flashcards? Class teachers Parents Home educators Private tutors Anyone who needs it! What is included? 18 pages 1 PDF 26 pictures 26 letters For a comprehensive set of alphabet flashcards, with letters and 2 sets of picture cards, see here. e or ee? Phonic Game
Special Resources, ELA, Special Education Needs (SEN), Language Development, Phonics, Reading, Spelling, Kindergarten, Preschool, Activities, Games

This e or ee? Phonic Game is a listening game to help the child to hear the ‘ee’ sound in words, as different to the ‘e’ sound as some children have difficulty hearing the new ‘ee’ sound. This is a simple oral game for 2 players to help to develop the ability to hear the sounds as separate in words without the need to worry about text yet. No die needed. These children may have auditory processing difficulties, of which there are growing numbers of children. With the recognition of the needs of these children and timely intervention, many can survive school. Sadly without it, they may soon fall behind. If you have a child who cannot hear the graphemes in words easily, then find or make a game to help. This is one such game you can use. Background to why I made this game One of my pupils has a speech delay. When I introduced him to ‘ee’, he tried to sound out the words by saying ‘e’ instead of ‘ee’. It was as if ‘ee’ was a foreign sound to him. So, I devised this game to help him to hear the ‘ee’ sound in words he uses frequently in speech. After playing it a few times he is now happily sounding out to read and spell words with the ‘ee’ sound. Who can use thee or ee? Phonic Game? Anyone who is teaching a child who shows difficulty learning to read words with /ee/, trying instead to say /e/. The Letter M Counting to 10 Center teaches young learners to recognize and count numbers 1-10 while identifying the lowercase letter M. This matching activity builds early math skills, number sense, and letter recognition in a hands-on format ideal for centers, small groups, or independent work. With no prep required beyond printing, cutting, and optional lamination, this activity offers teachers a versatile resource to assess and build key kindergarten readiness skills in counting, number recognition, and letter ID.
