Multi-Step Equation Constructed Response

Multi-Step Equation Constructed Response
Math, Algebra, Grade 8, Teacher Tools, Assessments

Multi-Step Equation Constructed Response The Multi-Step Equation Constructed Response is a comprehensive teaching resource, primarily designed to assist in reaching the 8th Grade Expressions & Equations Standards. This educational tool contributes significantly towards helping students comprehend and apply linear equations in one variable that align with CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.EE.C.7 standards. Description of Resource: Educators can utilize this resource to present linear equations that might have one solution, infinitely many solutions, or no solutions at all. Each given equation can be transformed progressively into simpler forms guiding students towards an equivalent equation exhibiting either x = a format, a = b format where 'a' and 'b' are distinct numbers or an 'a=a' form. Besides, it supports learning for those linear equations that employ rational number coefficients as part of the implementation of standard CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.EE.C.Fieldset.B, even when it involves expanding expressions using distributive property methodology while combining like terms. Packaged Material: An artful error analysis exercise along with illustrative handling on solving an equation offering either 1 solution or multiple ones. A meaningful closure activity for situations with no possible results scenarios too. Incorporates valuable resources like answer keys assisting both students and teachers alike ensuring seamless comprehension and correctness checking respectively. Versatility: The versatility range of usage is broad; It encapsulates whole-group instructions to small group engagements plus homework assignments enhancing self-learning opportunities besides classroom teachings. In addition, it displays suitable adaptability across public school environments as well as homeschooling platforms catering to diverse academic needs effectively. Technical Details: This resource comes in a user-friendly PDF format for easy accessibility across digital devices. Perfectly aligns with eighth-grade math algebra focuses.

Shapes Assessment

Shapes Assessment
Math, Geometry, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Teacher Tools, Assessments

An important part of instruction are the assessments that follow! This is especially important for our younger elementary students. They are entering school with many different skill sets. It is beneficial for us to find out what they know, so we can properly serve them moving forward. This is why formative assessments are so important. We administer formative assessments at the start of the year, the middle of the school year, and at the end of the school year. This is a 2-page Shapes Assessment that can be printed or accessed digitally. This is a quick formative assessment for primaries to keep track of whether or not they can, not only identify each shape, but describe them as well. It includes a page for flat shapes and another for solids. There are 6 flat shapes and 4 solid shapes. You can print a copy of the pages for each student that you have to assess. Allow students to look at a shape one at a time and name the shape. If they name it correctly, you can check off the box. Then allow students to describe the shape. This will include how many sides and angles or if the shape is round. If they can describe it, you can check that box off. This is a great resource to guide your instruction as well as place in their data folders for future reference. I hope you enjoy!
