Farm to Table Food Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzz
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
Farm to Table Food Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this farm to table food vocabulary puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our health and food unit. The kids knew that food came from the grocery store, but they had no idea about all the steps it takes to get food from the farm to their plates. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like farm, plant, grow, harvest, pack, ship, store, market, grocery store, cook, and eat . I also included a few like "farmer" and "produce" because they kept coming up in our class discussions . Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or independent practice. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the spelling of "harvest" (it's a tricky one) or whether a farmer is the same as a rancher (they're not—they always have opinions about it) . The crossword I use for partners or as a review, and I usually have a farm-to-table chart or a simple flowchart of the process nearby for the kids who need the visual support to see the steps in order . I added a couple simple tractor, apple, and grocery cart drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw one step in the farm-to-table process on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Letter C word Scramble puzzle worksheet
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
Letter C word Scramble puzzle worksheet activity Letter C Word Scramble Worksheet Here's a practical word scramble I use with my kindergarten and first grade students when we're learning the letter C. This 2-page worksheet features 15 simple C words that young learners can unscramble, like "cat," "cup," and "car." I made this last month when my kindergartners needed extra practice with C words. The letters are printed large and clear, perfect for little hands just learning to write. We use it during our phonics rotations - some kids work with partners while others practice independently. You'll find this helpful for: Letter C week activities Beginning sound practice Morning work packets Literacy centers Page 1 has the scrambled words with picture clues (a small drawing of a cow next to "woc"). Page 2 is the answer key for quick checking. I like to print these on colorful paper to make them more engaging. The words progress from easy (3 letters) to harder (4-5 letters): Starting with "can" and "cot" Building up to "clap" and "crab" I've found kids love when we time them to see how many they can solve in 5 minutes. It's become one of our favorite Friday activities! Format: PDF with 2 pages (activity + answers) Teacher tip: Have students circle their favorite C word when they finish!

Supply and Demand word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
Supply and Demand word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this supply and demand puzzle set for my 4th graders during our economics unit. The kids could see that popular toys sold out fast but had no idea why or what words like shortage or surplus meant. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like supply, demand, price, shortage, surplus, high, low, more, less, expensive, cheap, popular, product, buyer, seller, and market. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the basic idea finally click. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about why concert tickets cost more when a band is famous. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple graph and coin drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers give one example of high demand and low supply on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

World Earth Day word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this World Earth Day puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our April unit. The kids had heard of Earth Day but had no idea what words like environment, conservation, or recycling meant when we talked about caring for our planet. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like Earth, planet, environment, conserve, recycle, reduce, reuse, protect, nature, water, air, tree, plant, clean, and April. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the Earth Day vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether recycling is the most important way to help the Earth. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple Earth, tree, and recycling symbol drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one way they can help the Earth on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Tall Tales Paul Bunyan word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this Paul Bunyan puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our tall tales unit. The kids were obsessed with the giant lumberjack and Babe the Blue Ox, but they had no idea what words like lumberjack, bunkhouse, or timber meant when we talked about logging and the tall tale genre . The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the spelling of "Babe" or whether the ox was actually blue or just a story (I always tell them it's a tall tale, so we get to decide) . The crossword I use for partners, and I usually have a picture of Paul and Babe nearby for the kids who need a visual. I added a couple simple axe, ox, and tree stump drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw their own tall tale exaggeration on the back and label it with three words from the puzzle. Grade 7 Economics Basics word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this economics basics puzzle set for my 7th graders during our social studies unit. The kids knew what money was and that people buy things, but they had no idea what words like supply, demand, or scarcity meant when we started talking about how economies work. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like economy, goods, services, supply, demand, scarcity, producer, consumer, market, price, profit, competition, and trade . I also included a few like "opportunity cost" and "resource" because they kept coming up in our class discussions . Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or independent practice. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the spelling of "scarcity" (it's a tricky one) or whether supply and demand are the same thing (they're not—they always have opinions about it) . The crossword I use for partners or as a review, and I usually have examples of goods and services nearby for the kids who need the visual support to see the difference between them . I added a couple simple dollar sign, handshake, and store drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 7th through 8th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one example of a good and one example of a service on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
