Bearly Awake | Children's Journaling Set | Nature Journal | Printable Activity
Science, Life Sciences, Animals, Not Grade Specific, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
A beautiful nature journaling set for children. Youngsters can combine pre-painted characters (bears, a squirrel, autumn nuts, berries, and leaves) with the stunningly illustrated background scene. The scene has plenty of space for children to add their own drawings and writing to create wonderful journal pages to treasure. This set ideally lends itself to the study of animals in autumn and how they prepare for winter, record observations in nature around you, or combine with study from books and objects. The sheet of illustrations makes ideal additions to autumn displays. To create a tactile finished item I highly recommend printing onto high-quality paper, I like to use watercolor paper as this also allows the children to add their own paintings to the pages they create and means that every piece looks and feels like an original painting.

Skip Counting by 2's
Math, Early Math, Preschool, Grade 1, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets
Skip Counting by 2's The 'Skip Counting by 2’s' worksheets are easy-to-use teaching resources ideal for educators of Kindergarten and first grade students. This helpful resource was developed to enhance young learners' understanding of the essential skill of skip counting, specifically focusing on counting by 2's, which is pivotal in early math development. Each worksheet features an inviting, uncomplicated design with number spaces that guide students as they count from 2 to 20. These worksheets come with three different layout variations tailored to various learning styles and levels of proficiency: One version provides all numbers from 2-20 already written out for trace practice. The second version meets learners halfway, providing only a few numbers as checkpoints so the pupil can fill in the rest while practicing skip counting. The last activity sheet challenges budding Mathematicians further because it only shows the number '2', asking them to complete the form using their knowledge gained from counting practice. 'Skip Counting by 2’s' not only introduces youngsters to numerical sequences but also sows seeds for understanding multiplication further down their academic journey. Skip counting emphasizes that multiplication is simply repeated addition; for example - adding 'two' ten times equates multiplying ten by two! Additionally, these activities align perfectly with core standards: K.CC.A1 through K.CC.A3 concerning counting techniques and numeral representation up to twenty objects. '1.OA.C5’ and ‘1.NBT.A1’ relating to applying addition or subtraction as alternative methods in specific situations along with numeracy training less than one hundred twenty. These PDF worksheets could be implemented during whole class instruction time or small group sessions depending on student need & educator teaching style preference at any given time or space during your structured Math periods throughout your academic year. When ready for new aspects within skip-counting concepts , you’ll find more diverse ‘Counting by 5’s’ and ‘Counting by 10’s’ worksheets accessible in the math count series at Teach Simple. Progressive learning is unavoidable with this set of adaptable worksheets that will provide each student with the support they need to master skip counting by 2's. Implement 'Skip Counting by 2’s' in your mathematical teaching agenda to aid students in building a solid foundation for future numeric success.
