This AGE Word Sorting Activity is a great resource for your students to practice recognizing AGE words and pictures in isolation. This sorting activity includes three different sorts for students to categorize AGE family words in an engaging literacy center. Sorts Included in this Literacy Resource Sort words that are included in the AGE family from words that are not included in the AGE family. Sort pictures that represents words in the AGE family from pictures that represent words not in the AGE family. Sort between real and nonsense AGE words. The teacher can easily differentiate these sorting activities for students who need more or less support to be successful in completing these sorts. How to Use: The teacher can create a file folder sorting activity The teacher can add magnets to the picture pieces and create a cookie tray sorting activity The teacher can place the cards and mats in a box for a simple sorting activity To assemble file folder activities, position the two sorting mats on each side of a file folder. Use the word and image cards for sorting onto the mats. Adding hook and loop fasteners to both the cards and mats ensures the cards remain positioned once sorted. For the cookie tray sorting, attach magnets to each card's back. Lay the mats next to each other on the tray, and the magnets will secure the cards to the mats. This letter N beginning sounds and handwriting activity includes real photographs to practice learning to recognize, write and identify the sound of the letter N. Each picture has bold colors and includes easily recognized pictures. Each activity can be used in a literacy center for students to practice letter recognition. What is Included: There is an instructional page with printing instructions. There are letter N posters with various letter N words. There are handwriting task cards that allow students to practice writing the letter N as well as words that begin with the letter N. There are beginning sound clip cards that allow students to practice clipping the images that begin with the letter N. There is a sorting activity where you sort pictures that begins with N from words that do not begin with N. The letter N sorting cards that can also be used to play memory, matching, or concentration games. These cards can also be used during a lesson in a pocket chart as well as for a center display. When to Use: All of the activities make great literacy centers, by placing each set of activities in the center and letting students complete activities alone or with a partner. These activities make great morning tub activities. Just place these activities in morning bins for students to complete as their classmates arrive to class. Skills Assessed: These activities assess letter recognition skills, beginning sounds, handwriting, and sorting skills. Each activity in this set is low prep. Each activity just needs to be printed out, cut apart, and laminated if desired. When you laminate the writing cards, you can create a writing center activity that is reusable is you add dry erase markers. The handwriting cards and beginning sound clip cards can be turned into task box activities.

This set includes 6 different sets of clip cards: 2 sets of numbers 2 sets of finger counting 2 sets of dot patterns Who are the clip cards for? Clip Cards – Kindergarten & Preschool, First Graders, Early Primary Students and Special Education Children Great for solo work, study stations or at home with a small workspace. What is Included: This flip book has a cover page for students to simply color. The seek and find page practices letter recognition by having students identify capital and lowercase forms of the letter. The find and color page practices letter recognition of the target letter from other letters of the alphabet. Students can use dot markers to mark the letters, they can color in the letter or use stickers to cover the letters. The cut and paste page allows students to work with scissor skills to cut out examples of the letter from either printed materials, like magazines or newspapers, or students can use the letters provided at the bottom of the page. The trace and write page allows students to practice tracing and writing the capital and lowercase forms of the letter. What is Included: There is an instructional page with printing instructions. There are letter H posters with various letter H words. There are handwriting task cards that allow students to practice writing the letter H as well as words that begin with the letter H. There are beginning sound clip cards that allow students to practice clipping the images that begin with the letter H. There is a sorting activity where you sort pictures that begins with H from words that do not begin with H. The letter H sorting cards that can also be used to play memory, matching, or concentration games. These cards can also be used during a lesson in a pocket chart as well as for a center display. When to Use: All of the activities make great literacy centers, by placing each set of activities in the center and letting students complete activities alone or with a partner. These activities make great morning tub activities. Just place these activities in morning bins for students to complete as their classmates arrive to class. Skills Assessed: These activities assess letter recognition skills, beginning sounds, handwriting, and sorting skills. Each activity in this set is low prep. Each activity just needs to be printed out, cut apart, and laminated if desired. When you laminate the writing cards, you can create a writing center activity that is reusable is you add dry erase markers.
