Perfect for practicing acting out emotions during a feelings unit, or just as a fun game for students to play, this gross motor activity gets kids moving and keeps the boredom away. What is Included: A page that gives directions on how to play the game . A poem card that is chanted between each round. 15 emotion cards depicting different emotions for students to act out. How to Play: To begin, the teacher needs the students to stand around the room, making sure there is enough room for students to act out each emotion without bumping into other students. The teacher will chant the poem, and at the same time the students will pretend to be asleep. Once the poem is chanted the teacher (or a student) will choose a card and call out the emotion. Students will then begin to act out that emotion. Once the teacher chants the poem again, students will again pretend to sleep until a new emotion is chanted. This dinosaur memory game is the perfect complement to a Dinosaur or Paleontology Unit Study. It will help your students memorize and review a few dinosaurs in a fun way. How to Use This Resource: Cut apart all the cards. Then lightly glue each back to a front. Run through a laminator and then cut apart each pieces. Lay pieces flat and upside down. Take turns with your students to turn over 2 at a time. When you find a match, you get to keep the match. When all the cards have been turned over and matched up, then the game is over. The winner is the one who has found the most matches. Not only do these cards feature a dinosaur-related picture, but they also have the corresponding word printed underneath each picture. They will get to work their brains to try and remember where they saw a certain image, but they will also be able to retrieve where they saw a certain word.
