I created this water cycle science activity for young students who are beginning to learn how water moves through Earth’s systems. Each page focuses on a simple part of the water cycle, including evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. The worksheets include clear diagrams, short explanations, and guided activities so students can understand the concept without feeling overwhelmed. This type of activity works well during science lessons, especially when students are being introduced to Earth science topics. It can be used as a whole-class activity, a science center, morning work, or extra practice after a lesson. I’ve used similar worksheets before, and students enjoy labeling diagrams and following the steps of the water cycle from start to finish. The pack is easy to print and works well in both color and black-and-white. It fits nicely into classroom routines and can also be used at home for review or reinforcement. This letter D beginning sounds and handwriting activity includes real photographs to practice learning to recognize, write and identify the sound of the letter D. Each picture has bold colors and includes easily recognized pictures. Each activity can be used in a literacy center for students to practice letter recognition. What is Included: There is an instructional page with printing instructions. There are letter D posters with various letter D words. There are handwriting task cards that allow students to practice writing the letter D as well as words that begin with the letter D. There are beginning sound clip cards that allow students to practice clipping the images that begin with the letter D There is a sorting activity where you sort pictures that begins with D from words that do not begin with D. The letter D sorting cards that can also be used to play memory, matching, or concentration games. These cards can also be used during a lesson in a pocket chart as well as for a center display. When to Use: All of the activities make great literacy centers, by placing each set of activities in the center and letting students complete activities alone or with a partner. These activities make great morning tub activities. Just place these activities in morning bins for students to complete as their classmates arrive to class. Skills Assessed: These activities assess letter recognition skills, beginning sounds, handwriting, and sorting skills. Each activity in this set is low prep. Each activity just needs to be printed out, cut apart, and laminated if desired. When you laminate the writing cards, you can create a writing center activity that is reusable is you add dry erase markers. The handwriting cards and beginning sound clip cards can be turned into task box activities.

This is a set of ten lessons for struggling readers to help them develop reading fluency. The lessons cover short vowel words with and without a consonant blend. It includes 10 lessons, 10 decodable Reading Books, 10 matching PowerPoint presentations of the books + 10 packs of worksheets - a pack to support each book. This 10-week curriculum focuses on short vowel sounds and is designed for struggling readers. It includes 10 decodable reading books, each with only 10 new words per book to prevent cognitive overload. This pack is designed for children who have already learned to blend words with a short vowel sound, with both three and four sounds, but have not yet attained reading fluency. We study the ten words in each vowel sound, five each week, and then practice by using the activity pack. The child becomes very familiar with these five words. The child can then be given the next reading book and, to his/her great surprise, can read the book quite fluently without having to decode nearly every word. This gives the child an enormous boost. The process seems, in my experience, to help the child learn what is needed, once they can sound out words _ it helps them to learn how to store the words in the long-term memory, and I find it gets easier and easier as we go through the programme. The worksheets provide multi-sensory activities to help the child develop: Flashcards of the relevant words for each sound Phonemic awareness Strengthen consonant blends, which these children often find hard Tracking skills, which are again poor for many of these children Word differentiation - we tackle confusion words head-on (e.g. big/pig) Comprehension - as reading becomes more fluent, we can now build comprehension Fun print and go games And much, much more! The systematic, repetitive nature of this program makes it suitable for students with special needs, including those with dyslexia, cerebral palsy, or general learning disabilities. Ideal for small groups or one-on-one instruction, it helps develop reading fluency, phonetic awareness, and early writing skills. Enhance the teaching and learning of the beginning sound of letter W with our unique and interactive flower craftivity. This educational tool is designed to facilitate the understanding and recognition of the letter W sound with common, easy to recognize images. Our resource contains three different letter W flower templates to practice both beginning sounds as well as letter recognition. What's Included: There are two different templates that allow students to create a flower focused on recognizing the beginning sound of the letter W. There is one template that allows students to create a flower focused on letter recognition of both capital and lowercase forms of the letter W. SEL Boom Deck-What Can I Control and Not Control? Audio and Handout!

In this SEL Boom Deck, students will learn about things they can and cannot control. This is an important skill in self-regulation, relationship skills, and self-awareness. There is audio for each card so reading is not required. There are 46 Boom cards and 43 are task cards. The first 3 cards go over the concepts and the directions. Some of the in control examples are; a child is bored in class, a child make a choice that got them late for school, a child raised his hand to ask for help, a child studied for a test and did well on it, a child took something after someone dared them too, and many more. Some examples for the out of control concept are; a child's balloon was popped from a tree branch, there was a thunder storm, a family is moving, a child is walking in the rain, a child got a toy grabbed by another class member, a child is stuck in traffic and worried they will be late, a child did not get the lead role in a play, and more. After students participate in the Boom deck, they can write and draw their own examples of things they can and cannot control. There is a also a cute airplane that students can color and draw themselves being the pilot of their own plane (and mood, actions, feelings, etc.) This Boom deck can be something students do whole group (there enough cards for each student to do an example) or in centers , or you could assign this individually for homework. If there is an example of someone caught in a situation that causes them to feel upset regardless of whether they can or cannot control it, students are prompted by another card to help the person in the example feel better and do some things that they can control to help themselves. In this SEL product, you will get SEL Flashcards for Social Emotional Learning. You will also get SEL coloring pages because there are two different pages of emotions/feelings. Both pages have a black and white version and a color version. The black and white version allows your students to color their own faces and images. The emotions listed are; happy, sad, silly, proud, shy confused, scared, excited, angry, tired, loving, sick, disgusted, cry, jealous, disappointed. These flashcards can be used for so many purposes. I have used these flashcards for Go Fish games where the students have to ask for a certain feeling. You will need to make two copies of the colored emotions poster to make this game work. If a student asks for "angry" and the student they asked has it, that student give the card to the one who asked and that student places the match down on the table and names a time they felt angry. I have also used this resource for memory games. You would, again, make two copies of each emotion. Then you would mix up the cards and place them face down (I would highly recommend cardstock) in a random order. Students then would choose two cards and reveal the emotion cards. If they are a match, then the student can share when they have felt that way. If it is not a match, they would place the cards face down again the the next student would take a turn. This is a fun and interactive game but also helps students discuss their feelings in a non-threatening way. This resource can be used as a whole class activity where students color their flashcards and then cut them out. They can randomly pick a card and name a time they felt that way. This can also be used as a center activity for Go Fish or Memory (as I described above). The ways to use these Emotion SEL Flashcards are endless!
