Get your students excited about writing with these transportation writing center vocabulary rings. These transportation word lists will provide students with many transportation themed words for them to use in their writing or drawings. These writing center vocabulary rings are ideal for preschoolers, kindergartners and first graders who are just beginning to write stories and put their ideas on paper. The rings provide a way to facilitate the process of writing words that students are not yet familiar with spelling on their own. What is Included: This packet contains 42 transportation vocabulary ring cards, and 4 different cover cards to create one large ring for all vehicles, or you can create a ring of land vehicles, a ring of water vehicles and a ring of air vehicles. How to Use: These transportation vocabulary rings can be laminated and placed in the writing center for students to refer to when writing. Students can flip through the cards easily to familiarize themselves with the different modes of transportation. The small nature of these cards allows teachers will small writing spaces the ability to add helpful writing aids for their students. As students are writing their transportation filled stories, they can use these vocabulary rings to help them spell words they need help spelling, or to spark ideas for new adventures for their writing. Students can also use the vocabulary rings to label their drawings. Skills Assessed: Students will learn new vocabulary and practice using the vocabulary by labeling pictures, writing sentences, or writing stories. These transportation vocabulary rings are a low prep addition to your writing center. Simply print, cut apart, and place on a ring to make the vocabulary ring. The cards can be place inside the center and watch your students' imaginations come to life in their writings. Laminating the cards is optional, but recommended for durability.

These coloring sheets can also be a a simple way to start conversations with kids about food choices and meal planning—without making it feel like a “lesson.” These are coloring pages, but they’re also a great prompt for talking about breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and what makes a meal feel balanced. Kids can color the pictures any way they like (I love seeing purple carrots)! Through using this Health 2nd Grade Unit 5: Injury / Violence Prevention and Safety students will learn to identify personal information, safety in their environment, trusted adults in their community, and how to identify bullying and ways to report it and stop bullying. Students will also learn the following concepts: * Know their address and phone number as they practice writing it and reciting it. * Understand safety in your environment. * Students will be able to identify trusted adults in community. * Students will learn safety procedures in home. * Students will understand what is bullying.
