Each section of this lovable ghoul is numbered, guiding you to create the perfect Halloween zombie, complete with greenish skin, ragged clothes, and maybe even a missing tooth or two (it’s hard being a zombie, after all). Just grab your colors, match the numbers, and watch as your masterpiece creeps to life one shade at a time. No brain-eating required! Perfect for classrooms, Halloween parties, or anyone who loves a little monster fun without the mess, this activity keeps it lighthearted. By the time you’re done, you’ll have a not-so-scary zombie that’s equal parts funny and festive. So if you’ve ever dreamed of coloring your own Halloween creature but could do without the cobwebs and graveyard mud, this one’s for you. Unleash your creativity, get in the spooky spirit, and give this zombie the colorful “afterlife” it deserves! Enjoy!

Rooms in a House word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Rooms in a House word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Rooms in a House word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this rooms in a house puzzle set for my 1st and 2nd graders during our communities unit. The kids could name a few rooms but had no idea what words like kitchen, bathroom, or attic meant when we talked about the parts of a home. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, dining room, hall, stairs, attic, basement, garage, pantry, and closet. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the room vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a pantry is the same as a closet. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple house, bed, and sofa drawings but nothing too busy. Works for K through 2nd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw their favorite room in their house on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Myths and Legends Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this myths and legends vocabulary puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our reading unit. The kids loved stories about gods and heroes but had no idea what words like myth, legend, or hero meant when we talked about different types of traditional stories. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like myth, legend, hero, god, goddess, quest, monster, adventure, ancient, and creature. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the myth and legend vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a myth is true or not. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple lightning bolt, shield, and monster drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write a short myth using three words from the puzzle on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Apostrophes word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this apostrophes puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our writing unit. The kids kept putting apostrophes in plurals like "apple's" and forgetting them in contractions like "dont." So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like apostrophe, contraction, possessive, belong, ownership, don't, can't, won't, isn't, it's, girl's, boys', children's, letter, missing, and plurals. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the two main apostrophe uses finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the difference between "it's" and "its." The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple apostrophe and arrow pointing to missing letters but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write a contraction and a possessive using an apostrophe on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Grade 1 Months of the Year word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Grade 1 Months of the Year word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables

Grade 1 Months of the Year word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this months of the year puzzle set for my 1st graders during our calendar and seasons unit. The kids could name a few months but kept mixing up the order—especially August and September—and had trouble spelling words like February and Wednesday, even though Wednesday isn't a month . So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using months like January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December. I also threw in a few like "year" and "month" because they came up in our conversations about how the calendar works . Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the spelling of "February" (the silent R always gets them) or whether June comes before July. The crossword I use for partners or as a review, and I usually have a classroom calendar nearby for the kids who need visual support. I added a couple simple calendar and star drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 1st through 2nd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write the months in order on the back. The kids actually ask for these now. Revisit order and seasonal connections with these months of the year worksheets .
