Sight Word Popcorn Activity

This resource is a Sight Word Popcorn Activity. Here is a simple yet effective way of practicing sight words (otherwise known as dolch, or “popcorn” words). Copy and cut the sight word popcorn pieces and laminate for durability. A fun way to present this activity is to purchase some plastic popcorn containers to use. Place the popcorn words in a larger container that students cannot see into A popcorn label is included to print and paste to the front of a plain bag. Students take turns picking a popcorn piece without looking, and reading the word if they can. If they can read the word, the popcorn piece goes into their container and the next student then chooses a word. Full instructions are included for how to implement this fun game !

Animals to Color - Book of 10: Science Coloring Pages Here is a super pack of 10, hand-drawn pictures of animals for children to color. The study of the natural world is the foundation for the later study of science. The colouring of pictures of natural things, be it plants or animals, is more than a pastime activity. It is a means of familiarising young children with these everyday subjects. The coloring of these animal pictures can of course, be used as a pastime, or even as part of a creative lesson - the pictures look super framed - but they have the potential to teach much more. The UK National Curriculum for Science expects children to be taught to use the local environment to study plants and animals throughout the year. What better than to use familiar subjects - such as bagers, moles, hedgehogs and more to teach much about the natural world? Coloring can help children to become familiar with the parts of the Robin: ask questions: How is a fox like a stoat? Can you liken them to any of the other creatures? How is a hedgehog different from the other animals? Coloring a picture of an animal can also help children to become familiar with the characteristics of those animals - shape, habits, size, color etc... It is best if children color the animal pictures with the use of reference books to get accurate colors. Who are these coloring pictures of animals for? Anybody. This Guided Reading Book - Shenyang (Level N) with lesson plan includes: Guided Reading Color Label (front cover x1) This is a quick way to match the book’s demands to what students can generally handle.. The overall goal is to use the level/color to pick books for several smaller groups. To qualify for a certain level, a student is expected to read a book from that level with about 90–94% accuracy. If a student is consistently accurate and understands, move up a level. If the student is struggling at that level, drop down and add more support. Each student will improve at completely different rates, but it is generally one of the best ways to check progress across the class. Clip Cards – Kindergarten & Preschool, First Graders, Early Primary Students and Special Education Children Great for solo work, study stations or at home with a small workspace. Objectives In other words, children associate quantities to its representation in the numbers or other counting methods e.g. dot patterns, fingers patters and so on.
