skip counting by 3s bingo - boards 21-25

Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing skip counting by 3 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on skip counting in 3s! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white. They’ll be practicing their skills in telling time to the hour. Use these activities in conjunction with the Telling Time to the Hour with Tom Turkey Activities and Worksheets or as stand-alone learning games. Three of the games focus on identifying both analog and digital times while matching each to their partner. If your learners are still working on identifying color words, they’ll get practice in one of the activities. ACK Word Family Sorting Activities

Looking for an enjoyable, hands-on method to practice reading and identifying ACK words? These unique sorting tasks offer a captivating approach to practicing words that conclude with digraphs in a lively literacy center. Three diverse sorting tasks are available to enhance the ability to read and recognize words that incorporate the ending digraph CK. Sorting Tasks Involve: Differentiating words belonging to the ACK family from those not in the ACK family. Separating images associated with the ACK family from those not related to the ACK family. Sorting between legitimate and fabricated ACK words. These low-preparation sorting activities are straightforward to set up. The educator will simply need to print the pages, cut out the sorting cards, and laminate them, if preferred. Laminating enables this literacy activity to be reused continuously in your literacy centers. Usage Methods: Establish a file folder sorting activity Affix magnets to the pieces to devise a cookie tray sorting activity Situate them in a box for a basic sorting activity To construct a file folder activity , position the two sorting mats on either side of a file folder. Utilize the word and picture cards to sort on the mats. You can affix hook and loop fasteners to the cards and mats, enabling the cards to stay in place once sorted. Periodic Table: Element Baseball Cards Project

This is a great activity to help get students excited about the periodic table of elements! Students can work independently or in groups to research an element from the periodic table. On the front of the card, they will include images of the element, its name, and its symbol. On the back of the card, they will complete research to discover the element’s “statistics” including: Atomic number and atomic mass Electron configuration (including a diagram) Family Melting and boiling points History of discovery Uses and fun facts Then students can present their cards to the rest of the class so everyone learns about several different elements. Grades to Use With: This project is great for the middle grades (5-8) when the periodic table and elements are first introduced. It could also be used in a high school special education classroom. Standards: This project can help support the knowledge required for this standard. Once students understand the configuration of elements, they can use this knowledge to learn about simple molecules. NGSSMS-PS1-1 Develop models to describe the atomic composition of simple molecules and extended structures. Emphasis is on developing models of molecules that vary in complexity. Examples of simple molecules could include ammonia and methanol. Examples of extended structures could include sodium chloride or diamonds. Examples of molecular-level models could include drawings, 3D ball and stick structures, or computer representations showing different molecules with different types of atoms. Assessment does not include valence electrons and bonding energy, discussing the ionic nature of subunits of complex structures, or a complete depiction of all individual atoms in a complex molecule or extended structure. This Mesozoic creatures memory game is the perfect complement to a Dinosaur or Paleontology Unit Study. It will help your students memorize and review a few dinosaurs in a fun way. How to Use This Resource: Cut apart all the cards. Then lightly glue each back to a front. Run through a laminator and then cut apart each pieces. Lay pieces flat and upside down. Take turns with your students to turn over 2 at a time. When you find a match, you get to keep the match. When all the cards have been turned over and matched up, then the game is over. The winner is the one who has found the most matches. Not only do these cards feature pictures of Mesozoic creatures, but they also have the corresponding word printed underneath each picture. They will get to work their brains to try and remember where they saw a certain image, but they will also be able to retrieve where they saw a certain word. This is great differentiation for young learners. They will love playing this memory game and ramping up the competition along the way.
