Geology in Mars Vocabulary with Interactive Games; in this case, “The Hanged Man'” is a popular game that tests student's ingenuity, their knowledge of vocabulary and their use of letters. This simple game of guessing the name of a character, the name of a movie or whatever the word is. The hangman game has the mission of finding the correct word or phrase by indicating the letters that make it up. For each failed word, the game draws a person's body part. If the user does not guess the sentence or the word to be searched for before the game character has a head, arms and legs, he loses the game. The hangman game therefore becomes a different and fun way of learning and an activity that offers the following advantages: - Stimulates intelligence - Increases concentration and attention - Teaches students to handle and practice the letters of the alphabet - Teaches students to write - Helps in student's pronunciation - Increase student's vocabulary - Helps them learn new words First, Practice the words following the slides. Busy Learning More Shapes Activity

We have so many new skills to teach our young learners, so ensuring that we can keep them engaged very early on is so important. Two ways to do this is by incorporating topics they are interested in and by providing them with hands-on activities. This is a Busy Learning More Shapes Activity that is great for your 1st and 2nd grade students. You can use this to introduce shapes or review it for students who have already mastered shape identification. It is a 4-page printable. You may choose to print copies of each page for every student to complete as a cut and paste activity . It may also be good to print a few copies and laminate them for repeated use. If you choose to laminate them, you can attach Velcro dots to the colored shapes so students can match them up. Students would also be able to use dry erase markers to trace the names of the shapes. On the first two pages, you have the outlined shapes with their names inside of the shapes. Students will trace the names of the shapes. On the last two pages, you have the colorful shapes without their names printed. This is a great way for students to practice shape identification, learn about angles and sides, and get familiar with shape names. I hope you enjoy! This letter sound sort for the letter X is a great hands on activity for recognizing the most common sound of the letter X. This is an easy and fun activity to give students who need practice with recognizing the letter X sound from amongst other letter sounds or for those students who need extra practice distinguishing between the ending sounds in words. To complete this sorting activity , students will look at a picture on a fox to determine if the picture ends with the letter X or does not end with the letter X, and then the students will place the fox on the correct forest mat. This sorting activity includes 3 pages that contains One forest mat for pictures that end with the letter X One forest mat for pictures that do not end with the letter X Fox pictures that end with X Fox pictures that do not end with X This ending sound sort can be used in the following ways Literacy centers Fine motor centers File folder activity Add magnets to the picture cards for a baking tray activity Small group activities Morning work Emergency sub plans If making a file folder game, the teacher will place the mats on either side of the folder and use hook and loop fasteners to sort the fox pictures. Animal Project: Creative Creatures - Biomes, Structural, and Behavioral Adaptations

Here's a middle grades science project (for grades 4-7) that will let your students use their creativity to apply their knowledge of biomes and adaptations as they complete research, integrate knowledge from several sources, type a report, and make a detailed diagram ! How to Use: Assign each student an animal or let them chose their own. They need to research that animal’s biome and the adaptations the animal currently has. Next, each student chooses a different biome and moves their animal there. They must use their imagination and logic to predict the adaptations the animal would develop in the new biome. Once each student has completed their notes, they can type or write a report to present the information. I encouraged my students to make a four-paragraph report: Paragraph one: describe initial biome Paragraph two: describe initial adaptations Paragraph three: describe new biome Paragraph four: describe new adaptations Students also create their own visual image of their creative creature (labels encouraged). I like to put all the reports and images together into a class book. This is fun way to showcase the students’ hard work. I have included the title page I use for our class book. I have also included the rubric I use to assess the projects. Graces to Use With: This product is appropriate for students in grades 4-7 depending on when your science curriculum includes biomes, structural/physical and behavioural adaptations, or diversity of life standards. Building Brick Creative Building Game (Lego Brick S.T.E.M. Game)

Overview of This Activity: This printable game is designed to encourage children to use their creativity and apply S.T.E.M. skills! During the game , players collect different Lego elements (pieces). At the end of the game , players create anything they can imagine with the pieces they collected during the game . Then, they can informally practice presentation skills as they tell each other about their creation. How to Play: Place a box or pile of Lego elements (different pieces) where all players can reach them. Gather a die and this game board. Each player should choose 1 mini-figure or Lego element to be their game piece Note: Players can use their piece in their creative build at the end of the game if they would like to! Directions: Players take turns rolling one die on their turn. They move the number of spaces represented on the die and follow instructions on the game square they land on. Based on where they land, they will either choose a set number of elements from the pile, return a set number of elements from their collection to the pile, or move backward a certain number of spaces. The game ends when one person reaches the finish. At that point, all players build creatively with the pieces they have collected during the game . Then, they share what they have built. Older students may want to try creating their pictures this way for a more tactile way to complete this art activity.
