Fish and Aquatic Life word search, scramble and crossword
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles
Fish and Aquatic Life word search, scramble and crossword ⭐I made this fish and aquatic life puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our ocean and freshwater unit. The kids loved looking at pictures of fish but got bored fast when I tried to review vocabulary. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like salmon, trout, catfish, guppy, bass, minnow, pike, and goldfish. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to keep them thinking without complaining. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search is great for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they mix up letters on longer words. The crossword I save for partners. I added a couple simple fish and water ripple drawings but nothing too distracting. Works for 2nd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one fish and write a fact about it on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Game Design Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles
Game Design Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this game design vocabulary puzzle set for my 4th and 5th graders during our technology and creative arts unit. The kids loved playing games but had no idea what words like levels, characters, or rules meant when we talked about how games are made. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like levels, characters, rules, design, code, test, player, goal, points, score, challenge, and fun. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the game design vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a game needs rules to be fun. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple controller, screen, and star drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers design a simple game on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Prepositions word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this prepositions puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our grammar unit. The kids could tell me where things were but had no idea that words like "in," "on," or "under" were called prepositions. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like in, on, under, above, below, beside, between, behind, in front of, near, far, inside, outside, through, around, across, into, out of, up, down, over, and without. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the position words finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether "about" is a preposition. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple ball and box drawings showing different positions but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw a picture of a cat in, on, and under a box on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

National Walking Day word Scramble puzzle worksheet
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
National Walking Day word Scramble puzzle worksheet activity National Walking Day Word Scramble - Get Moving & Learning! I made this word scramble for my 3rd graders last year when we celebrated National Walking Day (April 5th). It's a simple 2-page PDF with 24 scrambled words about walking and movement - from easy ones like "step" and "path" to more challenging terms like "pedometer" and "hydration." We used this activity right before our school-wide Wellness Walk. The kids worked on it while lacing up their sneakers - it was the perfect way to get them thinking about healthy habits while we got ready to move. Some of their favorite words to unscramble were "sneakers," "energy," and "stretch." You'll get: • Page 1: The word scramble with plenty of writing space • Page 2: An answer key for quick checking I chose words that actually come up when we talk about walking for health: Basic terms: "walk," "shoes," "pace" Health words: "heart," "active," "oxygen" Safety terms: "signal," "crosswalk" The kids loved racing to see who could unscramble "exercise" first! We kept the completed sheets in our PE portfolios to reference during our fitness unit. Format: No-frills PDF (2 pages) Teacher Tip: Have students highlight their favorite word and demonstrate it (like jumping when they solve "jog")!

Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the country names finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. As a realistic and practical introduction to budgeting, this activity aids students in understanding how money management works from an early age. The activity requires knowledge of basic math operations such as addition and subtraction up to the hundreds and hundredths. Students will create a back-to-school budget plan including: deciding their money source (birthday presents, a part-time job, or something else) choosing what items are necessary (backpack, pencil crayons, new clothes, lunch bag, etc.) and estimating the cost of each item exploring flyers or shopping online independently for the actual prices of their needed items: here's where they can try to find the best deal! they can not spend more than the amount they have budgeted, which may lead to making some trade-offs or compromises A space has been assigned for students' reflection after they've completed their budgets. The kids could name their classmates but had no idea what words like community, respect, or cooperation meant when we talked about building our classroom family. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like community, respect, kindness, share, help, listen, teamwork, cooperation, include, responsibility, trust, and celebrate. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the classroom community vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether respect and kindness are the same thing. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple handshake, heart, and group of stick figure drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one way they can help build classroom community on the back. The kids actually ask for these now. Turn the community vocabulary into practical ideas with this classroom rules worksheet .
