Summer 2 Digit Addition Worksheets No Regrouping | Grade 1 Math
Basic Operations, Early Math, Math, Addition and Subtraction, Addition, Grade 1, Worksheets & Printables
This resource helps Grade 1 and early Grade 2 students practice two-digit addition without regrouping. It is a good starting point for students who are just beginning to add larger numbers. The pack includes 100 worksheets with 20 problems on each page, giving students over 1,000 problems to practice. The summer theme makes the pages look fun and bright. Each worksheet looks the same from page to page, so students always know what to expect. Answer keys come with every worksheet, making it easy to check student work without extra effort. This resource works in many different settings. Teachers can use it during math centers, morning work, or independent practice. It also works well as homework or for students who need extra help building their math skills. Because every worksheet focuses on the same skill, students get a lot of repetition. This helps them build speed and confidence with two-digit addition over time. One thing to keep in mind: this resource only covers addition without regrouping. It is meant for students who are just starting out with two-digit addition. Students who are already comfortable with regrouping will need a different resource.

Real live examples of real live engineering solutions to energy issues for 2021 (Hornsdale battery, floating offshore wind turbines, agrivoltaics) will be shown through very useful case studies. Higher order thinking will develop as the students no longer use simply memorization, but will be able to calculate efficiencies, design systems, troubleshoot failure, and validate their choice with data. All instructor is given with teaching easiness through complete instructor support: flags common mistakes with students, lab data tolerance ranges, and answer keys for each piece of lab to help less knowledgeable (or skilled) instructors teach well. Materials can be flexible and modular - they are usable to complete a full 4 or 6 week unit or to supplement or complement an existing unit. Also will work in each of the 3 delivery formats - in-person, hybrid, or remote. Classes to Target By Grade Level: Using mathematics (cubic wind power law, LCOE, Betz efficiency, potential energy equations) as well as laboratory analyses and synthesis tasks this PDF would serve as a perfect fit for: 10–12 Grade (Primarily); 9th Grade Advanced STEM or Honors (with some exceptions); AP Environmental Science; AP Physics I or II (or both); IB Physics or Environmental Systems & Society; High School Engineering OR PLTW (Project Lead the Way); Introduction To Renewable Energy OR Sustainability Engineering In College; Homeschool High School Science Curriculum; STEM Areas In General. Math, Grade 5, 6, 7, 8, Rubrics, Teacher Tools
Math Journal Rubric: A Guide to Assess Middle School Mathematical Practice Standards and Math Written Responses This is a useful tool for middle school math teachers; it is specifically designed for grades 5 through 9. With a focus on word problems in math subjects, this rubric can add a new way of assessing your students' math skills at the middle/intermediate levels. The rubric includes 4 evaluation categories: Process: This assesses the strategy implemented by a student to find solutions. Teacher-friendly, Minimal Prep/Materials Needed – All materials required for implementation are provided (e.g., rubrics, answer keys, visuals, and 5-day pacing guides), so even non-science specialists can implement without difficulty. Opens Up Conversation at Home/School/Community – The advocacy letter and family audit provide an avenue for discussion beyond the classroom, resulting in actual changes to household sustainability. Targeted Grade Levels: The statement in the introduction clearly states that targeted grade levels are ‘5th, 6th, and 7th Grade.’ Therefore, because the math being introduced in this program involves multiplication, metric/unit conversions, basic percentage reasoning and cognitive complexity, I believe students in grades 5 through 7 will best use this resource as follows: Primary Group: 5th – 7th Grade (10-13 year olds) Secondary/Extension Group: (4th Grade) Advanced; 8th – 9th Grade as a basic review of what they learned in grades 5 and/or 6. 5th Grade Math Lesson Powers of 10 Multiply and Divide by Powers of 10
Math, Decimals, Place Value, Grade 4, 5, 6, 7, Teacher Tools
This simple math lesson will help your middle grades students understand how to multiply & divide by powers of ten. It is a great way to address 5th grade math common standards in Numbers in Base Ten: A.1 and A.2. How to Use: Kinaesthetic Lesson Idea: When I introduce this lesson, I take some pieces of construction paper and write a single digit, a decimal place, or a zero on each one. I have some students come up to the front of the room to hold the cards. Then they physically move around to slide the the decimal place card to another spot, or to add or remove zero cards. This lets the rest of the class easily see and visualize this math in action. For example, if I had four students holding cards with a 5, a 2, a 0, and a decimal, and I asked them to divide by 10, they would move to show 52.0 instead of 520. After the hands-on math lesson, we go through the handout page as a class- filling in the blanks and learning the rules for multiplying & dividing by powers of ten. Finally, the students will complete the practice section of the worksheet independently. Early finishers can create their own word problems that involve multiplying or dividing by powers of 10 to share during the wrap-up of the lesson. PEE 5 Paragraph Persuasive Essay Templates: Point Evidence Explanation
ELA, Strategies, Writing, Grade 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets
This PEE essay pack walks students through a five-paragraph persuasive essay, from the opening hook to the final thought. Page 1 pictures the essay as a five-car train: an introduction with a hook, thesis and preview of three reasons, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion. A zoomed-in body paragraph spells out each step (Point, Evidence, Explanation) with a guiding question, an example and three sentence starters, plus a Link back to the thesis. A 410-word model essay, "Every School Should Have a School Garden," shows the structure in action. Students then label numbered sentences from two of its body paragraphs as P, Ev, Ex or L and choose the stronger evidence for three points, explaining their choice. A repair page follows, with a worked example and three short paragraphs that each need a new point, evidence or explanation sentence. Planning comes next. Students pick a topic or their own, choose a hook type, write a thesis with three reasons and plan the conclusion. One planner per body paragraph records the point, evidence and its type, explanation and link. A linking-words card groups transitions by job, and a 12-item checklist with a partner star-and-wish box guides revision. Grades 5–9: persuasive and argument writing Nine pages: structure guide, model essay, two practice pages, three planners, a self and peer check and an answer key Formats: a full-color PDF and a grayscale print version
