Writing is a skill that our students can never get enough practice with. Students (just like adults) either love writing or do not feel confident as writers. The more we can provide them with writing opportunities, the more likely we are to build their confidence and improve their skills. This is a Friendly Letter Writing Template that will provide your students with just that opportunity! You could use this at the start of a writing unit. It is a great way for you and students to gauge just how much their writing skills have improved from the start to finish of the writing unit. It is a great pre-assessment to observe what students already know about letter writing. There ae 2 templates included. One of them is completely blank. The other provides “hints” to support student writing. The hints included: Date with comma Greeting and comma Introduction Body Conclusion Closing and comma Signature These templates are great for elementary students. Outside of a lesson or writing unit, these blank templates could be placed within a writing center. This gives students the chance to creatively write at their leisure during center time. This resource provides four flower craft templates featuring ACK word families. The flower craftivity serves as an excellent spring-themed activity or center that targets ending digraphs. This craft can be utilized to introduce or review words containing the CK digraph. Included in this resource are: Two flower craft templates for recognizing ACK word families Two flower craft templates for reading and matching ACK word families with corresponding images. In this resource, you'll find four templates for ACK words flower crafts, each featuring six unique petals adorned with words and images. This will aid in the introduction or review of the ACK word family. If used in spring, it could be an appealing addition to a themed bulletin board, or at any other time as an engaging, hands-on activity for students who enjoy crafting. You can incorporate this product in two ways: Teachers could print this material, allowing students to color, cut, and glue the pieces into a flower shape on colored construction paper. Alternatively, teachers could print the flower pattern onto colored card stock, cut out the flowers, and laminate them. These flowers can then be used in center activities.
