Self-Regulation Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles
Self-Regulation Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this self-regulation vocabulary puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our social-emotional learning unit. The kids could get upset but had no idea what words like regulate, control, or pause meant when we talked about managing our bodies and feelings. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like calm, breathe, pause, think, choose, regulate, control, body, feelings, safe, space, and focus. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the self-regulation vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether taking a pause is the same as giving up. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple calm cloud, breathing star, and brain drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers write one self-regulation strategy they use on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles
States of Matter word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this states of matter puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our physical science unit. The kids knew ice, water, and steam but couldn't explain what was actually happening between solid, liquid, and gas. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like solid, liquid, gas, melting, freezing, evaporation, condensation, deposition, sublimation, particles, molecules, temperature, heat, water vapor, and state. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary click. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether fog is a gas or tiny liquid drops. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple particle arrangement drawings for each state but nothing too busy. Works for 2nd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw what the particles look like in a solid, liquid, and gas on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Spanish Holidays and Celebrations word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this Spanish holidays and celebrations puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our Spanish and cultural unit. The kids could name holidays in English but had no idea what words like Navidad, Año Nuevo, or Cinco de Mayo meant when we started learning about Spanish-speaking celebrations. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like Navidad, Año Nuevo, Cinco de Mayo, Día de los Muertos, Semana Santa, fiesta, celebración, desfile, fuegos artificiales, and tradición. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the holiday vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. School Clubs Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
School Clubs Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this school clubs vocabulary puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our extracurricular exploration unit. The kids were excited to join clubs but had no idea what words like member, meeting, or activity meant when we talked about what clubs are and how they work. They kept asking questions like "What's a club president?" or "Do I have to do something every week?" So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like club, member, meeting, president, treasurer, advisor, activity, event, fundraiser, goal, team, and spirit . I also threw in a few like "volunteer" and "collaborate" because they came up in our class discussions . Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the spelling of "treasurer" or whether a club advisor is the same as a teacher . The crossword I use for partners or as a review after we've looked at the list of clubs our school offers . I added a couple simple star, handshake, and notebook drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one club they would like to start or join and write about it on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Christmas Coloring Pages - Mexican Traditions
Geography, Social Studies, Christmas, Holidays, Holiday & Seasonal, Spelling, Language Development, ELA, Vocabulary, ESL, December, Months, Not Grade Specific, Pre-K, Coloring Pages, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
Christmas is not the same in every single country. Traditions are different and the languages are different. This is why I created these beautiful coloring pages. Not only did I include the colored versions of the pictures so students could copy and practice color recognition, but I added Christmas-related Spanish words to add interest to the pages and to introduce children to new vocabulary words in the English as well as Spanish language. These fun coloring pages contain drawings with thick outlines to make coloring within the lines much easier even for the youngest children. Of course, children do not need to be able to read to complete the coloring. This a straightforward project with just coloring pages with text on each page. All ages can benefit from participating in the project. However, pre-k, kindergarten, first, second, third, and fourth graders will be the main audience. Print these for your students and place them on a bulletin board for Christmas and/or other multicultural events such as Cinco de Mayo. Pictures include: Boy with 5-Pointed Star Joseph and Mary Christmas Tree Bulb Painted with Mexico Country Symbol Paper Lantern The Nativity Scene Christmas Shoes Filled with Candy Mexican Christmas Punch 3 Wise Men or 3 Kings 3 Kings Bread Legend of the Poinsettia Confetti 12 pages, including cover page, pdf downloadable file. Students will practice reading, color recognition, and more. Teachers can have students copy the words on their own sheets of paper and they can be used for a vocabulary or spelling test. You can have contests for students to practice their coloring skills, with prizes for the best completed coloring sheet. These coloring pages are a perfect way to add cultural relevance to your Christmas celebration and to help your students become more familiar with some of the traditions of Mexico during the holiday season. Check out my other materials at my store by clicking here.

World Art Traditions word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
World Art Traditions word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this world art traditions vocabulary puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our global art unit. The kids loved making art but had no idea what words like batik, mosaic, or origami meant when we explored art from different cultures around the world. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like mosaic, batik, origami, block printing, adinkra, mandala, totem, pottery, weaving, and sculpture. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the global art vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or independent practice. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether batik is from Indonesia or Africa (it’s from Indonesia, but many African cultures also use wax-resist dyeing techniques). The crossword I use for partners or as a review after we've looked at images of art from around the world. I added a couple simple mask, mandala, and weaving drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one art tradition from the puzzles and draw a small example on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Watermelon Seed Counting & Number Order (0–12)
Common Core, Health, P.E. & Health, Spring, Seasons, Holiday & Seasonal, Summer, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Coloring Pages, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
Watermelon Seed Counting & Number Order (0–12) This is an easy summer-themed activity (but doesn't have to be used only in the summer), for counting practice that also fits a healthy eating or fruit unit. Students work one page at a time: they look at the watermelon slice, count the seeds, and circle the matching number. The pages cover 0–12, so you can pull only the range you need (0–5 for beginners, 0–10 for most learners, and 11–12 as an extension). Each page includes a short routine that helps kids stay independent: students color the numbers, trace the words “watermelon seeds,” and then read those words out loud. It’s simple, but it adds extra fine-motor practice and a little print awareness without needing additional materials. This is a perfect "National Nutrition Month" activity as well! In case you didn't know this, March is National Nutrition Month. For a hands-on option, there’s a cut-and-order page where students cut out the watermelon wedges and place them in number order (0–10). This is a nice choice for math tubs, centers, or small group time—especially for students who need to move while they learn. I also included a quick bonus page called “What Makes Watermelon So Healthy?” with short statements and writing lines. It’s a small nutrition connection that works well during summer school, end-of-year themes, or anytime you’re talking about fruits and healthy choices. Inside you’ll find: counting pages (0–12), tracing + read-aloud prompt, a cut-and-order sequencing activity, and a healthy watermelon bonus page.
