Good Friday word search puzzle worksheet activity

Good Friday word search puzzle worksheet activity
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables

Good Friday word search puzzle worksheet activity Good Friday Word Search - Meaningful Holiday Activity I made this simple word search for my Sunday school class last year when we needed a quiet activity before our Good Friday service. It's a basic 2-page PDF with 24 terms related to the Easter story - words like "cross," "sacrifice," and "Jerusalem" hidden in the puzzle. The words range from familiar ("bread") to more challenging ("Gethsemane") so different ages can participate. I printed them on cream paper to keep the solemn tone of the day. The kids worked on them while we prepared for our prayer walk. You'll get: • Page 1: The word search with clear lettering • Page 2: A plain answer key I use this when: Teaching about Holy Week Needing a contemplative activity Preparing children for Easter services The words come straight from our Bible lessons - "Passover," "disciples," "forgiveness" - not just random religious terms. Last year, the word "compassion" sparked a good discussion about Jesus' actions. Format: Simple PDF (2 pages) Tip: Have children underline words that remind them of God's love!

Fiber Arts and Weaving word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Fiber Arts and Weaving word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables, Crosswords Puzzles

Fiber Arts and Weaving word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this fiber arts and weaving puzzle set for my 3rd and 4th graders during our art unit. The kids could see fabric and yarn but had no idea what words like weave, loom, or warp meant when I tried to explain the process of making cloth. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like fiber, yarn, thread, weave, loom, warp, weft, pattern, tapestry, rug, basket, crochet, knit, felt, and wool. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the fiber arts vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after art class or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether knitting and weaving are the same thing. The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple loom and thread drawings but nothing too busy. Works for 3rd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers name one fiber material on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Potential vs Kinetic Energy word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this potential vs kinetic energy puzzle set for my 4th graders during our physical science unit. The kids kept mixing up the two words even after I explained that potential is stored and kinetic is moving. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like potential, kinetic, energy, stored, motion, moving, gravitational, elastic, ball on a hill, stretched rubber band, roller coaster, speed, height, mass, and transform. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the difference finally click. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a book on a shelf has potential or kinetic energy. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple drawings of a ball at the top of a hill and rolling down but nothing too busy. Works for 4th through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers give one real-life example of each type on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.

Vegetables Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

Vegetables Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Reading, Language Development, Vocabulary, Not Grade Specific, Word Searches, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables

Vegetables Vocabulary word search, scramble and crossword puzzle I made this vegetables vocabulary puzzle set for my 1st and 2nd graders during our health and nutrition unit. The kids could name a few vegetables like carrots and corn, but they had no idea what words like broccoli, spinach, or zucchini meant when we talked about different types of vegetables. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like carrot, broccoli, spinach, lettuce, corn, pea, bean, potato, sweet potato, tomato, cucumber, onion, pepper, and zucchini. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vegetable vocabulary finally stick. The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or indoor recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether a tomato is a fruit or a vegetable (it's a fruit, botanically, but we eat it like a vegetable). The crossword I use for partners or as a review. I added a couple simple carrot, broccoli, and tomato drawings but nothing too busy. Works for K through 2nd grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw their favorite vegetable on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
