Playing the Game After the front screen the game begins. There will be four words on the screen and a picture will appear. Click on the ball next to the correct word for the picture. Numbers are on the ball in case students are unable to touch it themselves. There are four animations. One for the correct word (a goal) and three more if the incorrect word is chosen. After a correct answer a next button will appear, incorrect answers will offer a back button to try again. Upon returning to the question screen, words already selected will have the number on the ball removed. In the first round, click on the numbers in order to reveal clues. There is no in-built points system giving the teacher full control over how you wish to grade the game. Clues range in difficulty with the majority of first clues harder and the last clue making it easier to guess. Press the box to reveal the final picture (the word itself). The reveal box can be done at the end if you wish to reveal the letters bellow first; the word is spelled in the boxes at the bottom, click on each box to reveal a letter. Round two offers a similar style but clues are in picture format. There is no reveal box but letters at the bottom as in round 1. There are arrows to move to the next slide throughout. About the Game This game offers a chance to practice a range of skills and gives the teacher control over how they want students to answer. Given a mix of clues in word and picture format, teachers can reveal each letter in the answer individually. Playing the Game After the first page, there is a quick intro to the game. After this the first train sequence will begin. There will be some winter scene outside along with seven letter I words. This is automated and will move onto the question page automatically. On the question page you will have four options, choose the select button for the right answer. If you wish to watch the animation again, you can click the back button. After the correct answer has flashed, press next and the next train animation will start. Questions vary in difficulty so you may need to play the animation more than once. Set inside a train, there are a mix of questions to practice 16 key words. One difference with this game is the question will come after the words have appeared so students have to pay attention to everything they see. Questions go from easy to difficult. In the first round, click on the numbers in order to reveal clues. There is no in-built points system giving the teacher full control over how you wish to grade the game. Clues range in difficulty with the majority of first clues harder and the last clue making it easier to guess. Press the box to reveal the final picture (the word itself). The reveal box can be done at the end if you wish to reveal the letters bellow first; the word is spelled in the boxes at the bottom, click on each box to reveal a letter. Round two offers a similar style but clues are in picture format. There is no reveal box but letters at the bottom as in round 1. There are arrows to move to the next slide throughout. Playing the Game After the first page, there is a quick intro to the game. After this the first train sequence will begin. There will be some winter scene outside along with seven letter I words. This is automated and will move onto the question page automatically. On the question page you will have four options, choose the select button for the right answer. If you wish to watch the animation again, you can click the back button. After the correct answer has flashed, press next and the next train animation will start. Questions vary in difficulty so you may need to play the animation more than once. About the Game Bring some fun to your phonics review lessons with this letter I review game. One difference with this game is the question will come after the words have appeared so students have to pay attention to everything they see. Questions go from easy to difficult. In the first game, one picture will slowly appear (20 seconds long). Press the cookie in the bottom-left to begin, press again to reveal the answer. Press the donut in the bottom-left to begin. The pictures will appear on the clock, press the pink clock button next to the picture that corresponds to the word at the top. Wrong answer will buzz, correct answer will make a noise and both pictures will be fully revealed. Press arrow in the bottom-right to change page. 4 questions in total. Last game will review the words from the previous game. Word is at the top, four pictures below, choose the correct picture for the word. Incorrect answers will dim out, correct answer will flash. Playing the Game The garage will first appear on page 2. Click the cone for the first clue. Click the cone for further clues (five in total). On each click, the garage door will open slightly more. Students to guess the word in as fewer clues as possible. Click the gas can for the garage to pop open, the picture and word will appear. Press the arrow to move onto the next garage door. About the Game With five clues, eye-catching pictures and a fun theme, this game is ideal for practicing key short E phonics words. Set in a garage, clues are short but challenging. With 16 words, there is an opportunity for everyone to take part and playing in teams works well also. 17 Slides. Features plenty of color, excellent graphics and sounds. Picture format: clipart Will be harder for early learners due to the amount of reading so you may have to read it out and help with some meanings. Playing the Game First you have time to review - if necessary. Press the arrow for the letters to drop down. 10 letters with numbers ( number of words in the sequence ) appear at the top. Pressing any of these will start a sequence (pictures flashing) that upon finishing, students must repeat. Starts from A (easy) and ends in J (hard). About the Full Game (available in the ppt game links section below) This game is a great way to practice long I and gives the teacher complete control over the difficulty and game time. With ample time to review each picture, the speed of the game will offer a different kind of challenge. Each student will be able to practice the 17 words and most are repeated more than once throughout. 50 variations (rounds).
