Battle Brackets are not just for basketball! Students will enjoy these SEL peer pressure strategy brackets! There are 5 color strategy brackets and one blank one. All slides are FULLY EDITABLE as this is a Google Slides Presentation. There are 12 Middle School and 12 Elementary School peer pressure scenarios. Some of the scenarios for elementary school are; someone tells you to eat candy when you were not supposed to, someone asked you to say something mean about another student, someone dared you to take someone's football, someone asked you to cut in line, someone asked you to give the answers for the spelling test and others. Some of the middle school scenario examples are; someone asks you to drink alcohol, someone asks you to vape, someone dared you to take something out of someone else's backpack, someone asked you to spread a rumor about someone else, someone dared you to steal something from the cafeteria for their lunch, and many more. You can use these battle brackets for whole-class voting and discussion or with small groups. It is up to you. There are detailed instructions in this product. For student engagement, you can use these discussion questions. 1. Has anyone used this peer pressure strategy? 2. Are there certain situations to use this strategy? 3. When would this strategy? 4. Sorting is an early math skill and is a building block for future math learning. Errorless teaching is a great way to build excitement for a new skill. Sort identical cars by color This downloadable PDF is an educational activity that involves sorting identical cars by color. Here's an example of how you might carry out the activity sorting identical cars by color: -Gather materials: You will start with two large car color sorting cards Ex. one blue and one red and twelve smaller cards six identical red and six identical blue cars on them. -Introduce the activity : Show the learners the two large car color cards and explain that you will be sorting the smaller cards by color of the car. -Demonstrate the sorting process: Often times when I am introducing a new activity I will begin by sorting one or two of the cards myself, explaining what I am doing along the way. For example, "This card has a blue car on it, so it goes with the blue card." or "This card has a red car on it, so it goes with the red card. -reinforce learning: Once all of the learners have sorted their cards, review the activity as a group. Reinforce! By using hands-on activities like this, learners can develop their sorting skills while also improving their language, fine motor, and visual discrimination abilities.
