Middle School Math Stations or Centers : Triangles, Area, Angles This is an engaging teaching tool designed for middle school students and high school special education classrooms. It focuses on geometry concepts related to triangles: classification, types of angles, formula for area of a triangle, and calculating volume of a triangular prism. How to Use: Five ready-to-print math stations about the study of triangles. Put each station in a different area in the room. Students can rotate through a set time intervals (every 15-20 minutes), or you can allow students to work at their own pace as long as no station gets too crowded. Station 1: Students solve four word problems involving triangles. Station 2: Students explore the relationships for interior angles in triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, and hexagons. Station 3: Students play a simple dice game to practice classifying types of triangles. Station 4: Students work together to explain the rationale behind the area formula for triangles.
