Get students engaged with copying and continuing patterns with these St. Patrick's Day themed patterning cards. This set of cards words with AB, AAB, ABB, and AABB patterns. The St. Patrick's Day theme will entice students to want to do this activity over and over! What is Included: This packet includes none copying and continuing the pattern cards with a St. Patrick's Day theme. There are also ball cards students can use to copy and complete each pattern. How to Use: Students will choose one of the patterning cards available. They will then use the cards to copy the pattern on the card and then they will continue the pattern out until all the pieces are used. Students may also use the cards to create their own unique patterns. When to Use: Math Center - Place the pattern cards and ball cards in a math center for students to work alone or with a partner to copy and complete each pattern. Morning Activity - The teacher can place the cards into a morning tub or bin for students to complete while waiting on their classmates to arrive to class. Quiet time Activity - Particularly used in a preschool room, these cards make a great quiet activity to provide for non-nappers. Small Group Activity - The teacher can pull aside a small group of students who need extra help identifying, copying, and continuing patterns to use these cards. Skills Assessed Students will demonstrate the ability to copy a pattern as well as the ability to continue that pattern. The low prep nature of this center allows teachers to easily get this activity ready for student use. Simply print and cut the cards apart to place them in the desired classroom location. The cards can easily be stored in a task box for easy set up, clean up, and storage.

This resource is a set of St. Patrick's Day Themed Centers. It includes a set of two activities for your March literacy and math centers. These encompass skills that my second graders need to practice and master at this point in the year. Included: - Sentence center (punctuation and ending). There are 18 sentences included in this resource. - Number match memory game. This center can be used in several ways, including as a memory game. I have purposely used similar numbers in order to make sure that students are looking carefully and reading the numbers correctly. This center can easily be differentiated by using only some of the cards depending on the level and abilities of your students. Directions are included for implementing these activities two different ways, but feel free to use the resources whichever way is useful to your students. Method 1: Students randomly choose (no looking) a sentence strip. They then write down the sentence strip on their worksheet exactly as it is written on the chosen strip of paper. Students then decide what needs to be changed or spelled correctly. Students then write the corrected sentence next to number 2. Method 2: Students randomly choose (no looking) a sentence strip and rewrite the sentence correctly on another sheet of paper. Student returns their sentence strip to the container and choose another sentence to correct.

Whether students are in the classroom or in the computer lab , you may be on the hunt for some computer skills resources that you know students will love. Many of our students, young and old, enjoy putting their tech skills to use. It is always impactful when we can give them opportunities to show what they know and/or teach them new things! This is a Pixel Pics Spreadsheet Activity. It is the St. Patrick's Day Edition. This activity would work for any age of students who have learned about different computer applications, including Google Spreadsheets. Students will be given access to 1 spreadsheet. On this spreadsheet, there are 5 tabs. Students can complete all 5 tabs, you can assign which tabs you want them to complete, or you can let the students choose which ones to complete. The tabs include: -Clover -Ireland -Leprechaun Face -Pot of Gold -Lucky Horseshoes On each tab, students will follow the color code to complete the picture. It’s fast-paced, keeps everyone listening, and is honestly just a lot of fun to watch as the kids try to finish the full circle of questions and answers How it Works: It’s a giant game of "follow the leader." One player starts by reading their card: “I have [Item].” Then they ask the riddle at the bottom: “Who has...?” The person with the matching answer jumps in next. The game circles through every single card until it lands right back where it started.
