How to Use the Pinecone Counting Freebie: You can do a number of fun activities with this Pinecone Counting Freebie, but first you need to prepare it! You will print this page and laminate it. After it is laminated, you’ll need to cut out all 10 cones and the wooden log slice. Some activity suggestions include: 1. Students will select a pinecone to place on the log slice. Students will identify that number and use a dry erase marker to practice writing the number correctly. 2. Students will select a pinecone. On the log slice, they will use a dry erase marker and draw objects to represent the number they chose. 3. Students will select two pinecones. Included in this resource are: Two versions of class numbers, going from 1-60, with 6 numbers per page. If you need them smaller, you can print two pages per sheet. There is a thin print font and a thick print font. Three sizes of word wall letters (6 letters per page, 3 letters per page, and 2 letters per page) and three font variations - one thin printed, one thick printed, and one cursive so you can use them as a word wall or alphabet display. "Sharp" and "Dull" pencil container labels in three different font options so you can match your word wall decor. I use these to help with pencil management so students can get their pencils sharpened and get sharpened ones without disrupting class. All of these items are available for individual download (see the links below). This is a ready-to-print and use resource to use as reference for morning routines, or simply to decorate. This is a calendar that should fit in the pre-made calendar posters available for purchase at local teacher stores. Just print these off, laminate them, and create your own Olympics themed calendar. There are several size monthly headers and two font choices for the numbers. There are also several size daily headers for those who do something a little different with their calendars. Print these off and use them as your calendar this year. There are calendar numbers 1-31 as well as a square for when you need a 23/30 or 24/31 day. There are also blank squares to create your own. They come in two varieties and fonts. There are also monthly headers in three different sizes and four different fonts, so you can customize the calendar as needed. All of these items are available for individual download. This is a ready-to-print and use resource to use as reference for morning routines, or simply to decorate. It is recommended to print, cut, and laminate for a long-lasting resource. To make the calendar even sturdier, print it on card stock before laminating. Each piece has the size which can fit in a pocket chart or on one of those calendar posters using a clip or velcro. This is an inspiring set to decor your classroom!
